Been a while since I posted on these boards, but as someone that might be thought of as a "nay sayer" when it comes to Dark Heresy , I would just like to add my vote to the people that say it is certainly worth getting hold of. I've only managed to get my hands on a copy from a friend, and then only briefly, but I was suitably impressed by it. I posted a " First Blush Look at The Radical's Handbook " over on Dark Reign Forums .
Overall it just works, and includes information that really should have shown up in Dark Heresy . I mention this because I feel that it shows that FFG are doing a good job "plugging up the holes," as it were. Indeed, V: The Dark Arts is a perfect example of this, basically replicating and expanding the information from "Malleus" in Disciples of the Dark Gods in valuable ways. (And well written, so that it is perfect for people interested in converting aspects of the setting away from the system, which is where I come into it.)
With that said, I'm not going to say that it is without flaws, but they are "flaws" that are appropriate for the written themes of the game. Kudos, FFG.

I´m totaly enthralled by Radical´s Handbook. I´m just puzzled, if I would more like to play as my new PC a Zygmunt Molotch-like brilliant, old-school brutal esoteric investigator (Blighted Schola + Arbitrator + Justice, not Law + Warden of Divisio Immoralis), or morbid and monstrous void death-cult priest (Dark Holder + Cleric + Heretical Sect/Pentinent) ...
It's an awesome book, I gained several insanity and corruption points just from skimming through it. I got a lot of ideas from... Ow! Oh Emperor preserve us! I just sprouted a tentacle out of me arse!
