Now, this may seem like a silly question, but it doesn't appear to have been covered here or in the FAQ, so here goes...
If you end your movement phase in the same location you started the turn, without leaving, and there is a monster there, do you have to fight/evade it every subsequent turn?
Example 1: I evaded the Vampire when I moved here last turn, and I want another encounter here, so I am not moving this turn...
Example 2: I evaded the Vampire when I moved here last turn, and I spend 2 movement points to read my Cabala of Saboth before I have another encounter here, so I am not leaving...
The rules state, "Each time an investigator attempts to leave a location or street area occupied by one or more monster markers..." "...investigator ends his movement in a location or street area occupied by one or more monsters..."
Because it says "movement" instead of "movement phase", my group and I have had some arguments over the letter of the rules vs. the spirit of the rules, i.e. do I have to (1) evade the monster every turn, or (2) evade it once I get there, spend as many encounters as I want there, and evade it to go somewhere else?
