I just found out how much George lucas loves Jar Jar Binks while inspecting my own venator. I found that if you look at it from the front, there is a disturbing ressemblance. I'd put a picture myself but I am some kind of weird person that literraly does not own a camera or cellphone of any sort.

I wasn't really, no... but now that I am, I still don't know I'll buy in. Rarely do we have reason to complain in the US, but in this case I'd be looking at $80 plus shipping for a 6x4 mat. I'd rather just buy two FFG mats...

As I said in the other Adepticon thread, I asked an FFG Armada judge at the tournament yesterday about wave 3 during some downtime. Specifically I asked if it would only be the flotillas or any more ships. His response was he could not comment on that. My friend and I took that to mean more ships are coming because if flotillas were it for wave three(which is fine by me; not my preference but I'm a grownup so I'll deal with it), then it seemed safe to assume that the answer could have been a simple "sorry, but no more ships than the flotillas for wave three."

There was some conspicuously empty space in the FFG display case behind the flotillas that could get filled in today or tomorrow, but that's likely just wishful thinking.

I'd say enough for 2 more ships, but they'd need to be medium or small. Not enough space for 2 ISD/MC80 sized monsters, that's for sure.

Yeah this is certainly a possibility.

It's not really about the size of a WAVE. It's more about how many new products they release or announce in a year. It was a full year after Wave 2 was announced that they announced these two micro expansion flotillas. If wave 4 also takes another year then we've still got a problem. That is, unless there are separate expansions that aren't part of a wave - Such as the Executor, or a giant space rancor being ridden by Goku with a Sonic Screwdriver.

So My issue isn't really the size of a "wave". It's the fear of this game dwindling even more with only 1.5 ounces of new plastic per year. (Estimating on the weight there.... )

My gut feeling is that this will be it for Wave 3, and that it was a bit of appeasement to us players. I have a feeling that with the upcoming change to when Worlds will be for Armada, that FFG will be releasing one wave a year, with it timed to hit the shelves just after Worlds. This will give players a full year to adapt their fleets to the new ships and upgrades. This seems to be what they did with Wave 2, and only makes sense that they continue on this course of action.

I hope that's not the case. I can see a lot of former fans walking away.

If they want to do one wave a year, at least make it a regular wave of 4 ships, if not a super wave of 6 ships.

If they want to do small waves then they should do multiple small waves.

One small wave really reads as a massive FU, and I think the fans who don't like it have every reason to be upset.... If it turns out to be true.
