Yesterday I played CITOW for the very first time. I played with Nurgle.

As English isn't my native tongue I wanted to ask if I understand this right:

"Place a counter on your dial each time you place two or more corruption tokens on a Populous region in the same phase".

Can I place 1 token on 2 Populous regions or do I have to place 2 tokens on 1 Populous region to get a dial advancement with Nurgle?

2+ tokens in 1 Populous region. Of course, you get 1 dial token for each Pop region you place 2+ corruption in the same phase.

Hmm, I think that will be a difficult task...

You have a choice of 4 Populous regions and 6 Cultists (possible 3 dial tokens on the first turn, in theory at least). Since the Pop regions are always the same, Khorne will know that you'll be in one of those four. Nurgle dial victory is mostly a pipe-dream, it's VP or nothing for him really, unless playing with n00bs (even then iffy) or for some reason the other three just ignore you, but everyone has a shorter dial than Nurgle. Great Unclean One Upgrade and then summoning the GUO nets you a token in the summoning phase, that region could also net you a token in the corruption step, if you can get 2+ corruption then as well.
