In my rabid desire to throw even *more* money at FFG, has anyone done a count on how many of which size sleeves will be needed to Coke-proof an entire core set? How about the adventurer's pack? I thought I had seen something in one of the bazillion threads I've read here in the last week or so, but I can't find it now. Any assistance would be most appreciated!
So... how many packs of sleeves do I need?

http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite_sec.asp?eidm=86&esem=2&esum=123
Total:
217+ = 5 packs of green $2.99 x 5 = $14.95
254+ = 6 packs of yellow $2.49 X 6 = $14.94
$29.89
FFS03 Standard American 2 1/4 X 3 1/2 IN 56 X 87 MM Green
FFS01 Mini American 1 5/8 X 2 1/2 IN 41 X 63 MM Yellow
(cut/pasted from my notes I made when placing my order - disclaimer: I got this info from other posts here. I ordered them already, but I haven't gotten them yet - looks right, but I'm only 99% certain.)

Thanks, NezziR! I'm gonna make a run to my flgs and try to beat the rush. If the dang box would just land before I take off next week... I could spend some quality time at the in-laws flying my geek-flag and sleeving cards.

If your in-laws are even remotely like mine I hope that you get your game in time. Good vibes your way.

Thanks NezziR for this, it's good to know how many must I buy befor the game comes to my house.
Does Fantasy Flight use distrubitors for these sleves? I've never seen then in my game store.

They're definitely available in the States, 'cause I work at a Canadian game shop, and we've been stocking them since they came out.
Sizes confirmed.
I just got my sleeves. The cards fit perfectly. They are high quality mylar, thin but stiff. They have strong micro sealed seams.
They make the cards a bit slippery, but that's the price you pay
Thanks for following up with this - just placed my order with the FLGS. Also ordered some for Warhammer Invasion...

Thanks for the info guys, helped me out a lot when I just ordered all the stuff for the new edition.
I just remembered. I also used 4 x 5" sleeves that they make for archiving photos for my Descent characters.
While I don't have my box set yet, I believe the character sheets are 4 x 5" aren't they? This would help keeping them protected for long term game use.
They're pretty cheap too, I got 100 archival quality ones for about $18 from memory.
Does anyone know how many to order for the Adventures Kit? I'll be ordering enough for two boxed sets so I may have some left over to use also. Thanks so much!

I would be grateful for clarification on this as well.
Also , I've never used sleeves since back in the days I used to play ccgs (ultra pro). How do the FFG ones compare?
Are they a worthwhile investment for the rpg? My only concern is that over here (UK) its about 1/3 of the cost of the game to sleeve it.
many thanks
The numbers I posted include the Adventurer's Kit. Sorry, I didn't make that clear.
@DonXIII The sleeves seem to be nice and stiff with strong micro seals. After sleeving all the cards, I didn't have a single sleeve split (say that 3 times fast).
My FLGS in Germany didn't have the FFG sleeves. But he had board game sleeves from "Arcane Tinmen". The "Medium" sleeves fit the action cards perfectly and the "Mini" sleeves are the right size for the small cards. 2 packs Medium and 3 packs Mini (100 each) are needed for all cards.
I also put the action cards in standard CCG 9-pocket-sleeves (Ultra Pro). The fit exactly onto the box's bottom and I managed to get everything back into the box.
Now I'm confused. How many for each boxed set and each Adventurers Kit?

2nd post (my first post in this thread). That's all you need for the core set + the Adventurer's Toolkit, with a few left over.
I warn you now, sleeves on the small cards will make them DANGEROUSLY slippery. I sleeved up the wound and insanity cards, because those are the decks that will ever need to be shuffled, and the slightest disturbance disperses the stack of cards in all directions. It's kind of fun, actually. A little wear on the plastic should fix things up nicely, though.

Blood, blood everywhere!
< insert random Khorne battlecry here>
I think that I'll just buy enough sleeves for the cards that will be handled the most, ie- Wound cards and the Action or Talent Cards that the players will be handling.
I guess two packs of each would suffice?
