So I unboxed another Advanced Prototype (I love the model) last night and it got me thinking...

Obviously the loadout on the ships can vary, perhaps even upping them to Barons at the expense of cheaper missiles. What do you think? Three missile craft and a fairly strong ace to clean house with? Sounds nice to me, especially on the dials that protos are packing.
Inquisitor's Missile "Swarm"
Cool Idea, double evade against a scout alpha strike.
Why assault missiles? Do you see a lot of swarms? If so, then yeah keep them. If you see a lot of 2-3 ship builds though, I would definitely trade one or two of those out for homing missiles.

How do you get the double evade? TIE Adv Prototype doesn't get the evade action unless its with Tgt lock TIE\v1 title card

You could do this if you acquired a Target Lock from "assigned an evade token", but it's a "free evade action" and you can't perform the same action twice in a round.
I love the idea of this list but am afraid of those PS 2's surviving long enough to unleash their payload.
I think Homing Missiles would be a better choice. Same price, but you get to use the target lock. Sure, you lose the splash, but that might be just fine.

More or less, yes. Though they can take any missile for the job. Good thing about the list is that it's variable, I suppose.

Also a problem. I'm thinking of taking cheaper missiles and dropping the tracers, maybe drop one of the other upgrades on the Inquisitor to upgrade them all to Barons, and at least then they shoot before Scouts. Something like this: https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Galactic%20Empire&d=v4!s!163:170,17:27:25:;165:170,14:27:25:;165:170,14:27:25:;166:14:27:25:&sn=Unnamed%20Squadron

Yep, may work well. However, powerful alpha-strike lists like Triple U-Boat would have a real shot at killing you PS 2 before it gets to shot back.
Alternatively, I've got this on my mind:

I may be too stuck to the idea of the Inquisitor for my own good. Looks good! Should do a good job of cracking a few U-Boats! For some reason it never occurred to me to try Crack Shot.
Stick with Inquisitor, he has more bite for after Alpha Strike. I had two barons with concussions and doomshuttle get Poe to 1 hull. Then I couldnt touch him again and he regened all his shields. And after crackshots your barons are gonna be...bare. 4HP with no thrusters or EPT. You basically now have generic Tie/Fos out there.
Maybe something like:
I have played something similar with good success.
The Inquisitor (31) - TIE Adv. Prototype
Push The Limit (3), TIE/v1 (1), Autothrusters (2)
Captain Jonus (27) - TIE Bomber
Adaptability (0), XX-23 S-Thread Tracers (1), Seismic Charges (2), Extra Munitions (2), Guidance Chips (0)
Sienar Test Pilot (21) - TIE Adv. Prototype
Cluster Missiles (4), TIE/v1 (1), Guidance Chips (0)

First time I played it I had Tracers on the Inquisitor and didn't like wasting the damage. Jonus makes Clusters awesome btw. I have popped Miranda (who stupidly tried to joust...) on the initial strike. After I spew my rockets and hopefully destroyed the target I use Jonus and the Seiners as a blockers as best I can and let Inqy go to work.
I like the look of that Dub, though I have to wonder why the bombs on Jonus. I may be thinking about it all wrong, though. All in all it looks very cool though, and may just enthuse me to buy a bomber... I've taken the list and tweaked it just a tad, I wouldn't mind a review of it! Dropped the bombs for Plasma Torpedoes and dropped Push the Limit down to Juke. Could keep PTL if I drop Thread Tracers off Jonus.
Obviously the idea here is to chuck down a plasma torp to open a hole in some ship and then have the Sienar's rip right through it.

Jonus can’t use his own ability, so he is just there to make the initial strike have more punch. After that, the plan with the bombs is to snag enemy ships and escape, to regroup. So far it has worked fairly well.

I'm aware of Jonus' ability, but plasma torps still seems like a safe bet with him... if only to ensure those ps2 ships will do some damage. I'll give both lists a try, see how things turn out! I need more practice with bombs to be honest.
