Dark Elves

By Emirikol, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I don't recall seeing dark elves in the bestiary even though we've got high elves as a playable race (many dots go here)...etc.

Did I miss them?

Nope, you didn't. they're not in there.

I have heard their is a guide to creating NPCs. Just use this to make elven NPCs and throw in some of your own rules for abilities. Plus, I would be surprised if Dark Elves weren't introduced at some future time.

Yeah, they're physically little different, so building Druchii out of existing rules would be pretty simple. In the Old World, Druchii Corsairs would be the most likely Dark Elves PCs would encounter. Something like a Roadwarden career or another flexibile or agility-oriented job with a default reckless stance would do the trick. Stat up a repeater crossbow, give them a decent melee, and short-ranged manoeuver, and you're set.

I'm just going to create bad Wood Elves.

I mean, why not? Couldn't there be nasty ones?

Think of a disgruntled former family man out for vengeance against humanity (like Nero in the new Star Trek movie).

"You burned down my family's woods to kill a band of beastmen! Well, I'm going to burn down all of your cities in retaliation!"

Aw yeeeeaahh.

Well, most Wood Elves aren't very nice to begin with (as far as humans are concerned), but there is no reason you couldn't make one of your advesaries one. Another good movie equivalent for a "bad" wood elf is the prince from Hellboy 2.

+1 Fortune point for the Hellboy reference!

It's true though, that Elves in the Warhammer setting (both High and Wood) seem to be pricks. In general.

It won't take rocket science to turn them into memorable villains.
