I've only played the game twice, so still a total newb. I've found most of the answers I've been curious about but the one question that is still bugging me is this "What happens to a player if reduced to 0 Sanity by casting a spell during the battle the AO portion of the end game?" Do you still get sent to the Asylum and regain one Sanity? Or do you just stay in that state with 0 Sanity?

Insane or Unconscious during final combat means death, and elimination. Note that you still require the same number of successes to remove doom tokens from the Ancient One, no matter how many investigators were devoured during or at the start of battle.
