The core set can handle unlimited number of players..but cards and storage boxes are the limiting factor

Just FYI if you're worried about the number of players that the boxed set can "handle." It can handle any number of players, but there are only 3 sets of cards with the basic actions on them (melee, ranged, dodge, parry, block, etc.) A quick photocopy solves that..and remember that you'll need that as a GM anyways..so really there's only two sets of player cards for basic actions... There are also three 4x5 carboard boxes in there that theoretically you could use to keep your cards and crap together. For the playtest, I found that a simple zyplock bag works best (quart-sized) for keeping each characters "crap" together. Hopefully we'll be moving to photo-sheet protectors when the game comes out. I"m certainly NOT going to be sending the career cards or any other cards home with players..especially considering how flaky RPG gamers tend to be..nothing like being out a set of cards!

I've played two five-person games thus far; if you use the cards and components in the same way as any RPG reference book and have characters note abilities and talents on their character sheet, it works perfectly! We even managed, for one session, to have five players build characters simulatneously, being careful to put the cards back into a shared area.

The only challenges with this many are having enough tokens and tracker event spaces (easily enough resolved with pencil, paper, or using tracking pieces of an opposite color) and the dice (which was the only actual challenge.

Even with five and a few extra enemies in the demo encounters combat wasn't too cumbersome and remained fast.

I hope the extra basic cards in the Adventure's Toolkit (along with the extra player case), will be a standard feature with each supplement. It only would make sense, as several people already said their gaming group consists of 4-5 players (and in some cases even 7-8).

Such was the success of the demos this weekend, I've found myself with a five or six-person party (not including myself) eager to play, so that would be nice. Though it was easy enough to float components, it would be nice to have more dedicated bits (especially those event tracker pieces). And a whole bunch more dice.
