I was recently gifted a Rebel freighter, the YT-2400... nice ship, I like it.

The issue is that I only play Scum & Villainy...

I was informed by the person who gave me this wessel, that S&V can use any of the freighters, but I cannot find anything in my searches to back this up.

Nice gift, but you were misinformed. The cross faction ships S&V can use are Firespray, HWK-290, Y-wing and Z-95.

There are plenty of upgrades in there that are useful to the Scum player, though. Lone Wolf in particular.

Feel free to cross faction in friendly games. Even some event formats encourage cross factions, but none of the official formats... unfortunately.
