I'm not sold on a 1v1 dual between sub 30 generics. It sounds a bit like tic-tac-toe. Is there more to it than that?

May 1st (Sunday) sounds good. We need to schedule more kit events with all the kits we have.

I think its a little more on creativity. If you take pilot abilities away everybody is kind of on the same footings. It gives you a little more freedom since its one on one. You could bring a bomber fully loaded or some other combination you would never run if you had to face multiple ships.

Mainly it was something different that sounded fun. If you ask me who wins rymer or corran at 40 points. I would say corran hands down. If you asked me who wins between and e-wing or a bomber at 30 points it could easily go either way.

after this one we will have 2 winter and 1 spring. figure one a month will strech them nicely

There should be another stipulation. No unique upgrades. I.e. " moldy crow" , "Vader crew" , "c3po" , "r2d2" , "kallus" , "r3a2". Etc. only generic upgrades.

Only generic pilots unique crew and other stuff should be fine. If we run into a problem we can edit it as we go.

I'm bringing Heros of the Aturi Cluster stuff with me for this Friday.

Jerimiah (Frogg) should be there too. We may also have my friend Eric up from Centrailia and possibly another friend Jeff.

The four of us have been friends for decades together... and table top and video games has been a constant. So if we need more spots than will fit on one HOTOC mission, we will have the gear for a second to be played as well. I will make up a few more character sheets tonight or tomorrow to bring with me Friday.

I'm going to try to arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 so that I can have the HotAC missIon setup and ready to start at 7pm or soon after. I'm driving to Vancouver, WA early Saturday morning for the big national Campaign Against Cancer tourney.

Heros of Aturi was lots of fun again, last Friday.

Then on Saturday, I drove down to Dice Age Games in Vancouver, WA for the Campaign Against Cancer tournament. There were 45 participants and about a third to half of that had traveled down from great Puget Sound area. I took 3rd place.

Biggs was MVP. He is the defense dice for the Kanan piloted Ghost. There were two games in which I tabled my opponent. I managed to REALLY shut down ordnance all day. Triple UBoats got one Plasma torp off on me. Another list that included Redline with Ion Torps and Cluster Missiles (plus extra munitions) got to shoot the ion missle at Biggs once. Kanan spent a focus to reduce the shot to 3 red dice and with Guidance chips all three red dice hit, but with Biggs rolling 5 evade dice, I got the 3 evades to avoid the hit. Then Biggs fired back at Redline, Kanan Did as well (at range 1, five red dice) then at end of combat phase Kanan fired the auto-blaster turret to finish off Redline in the first turn of exchanges. Amazing!!!

Then came the final match for me that secured 3rd place.

I was up against Leebo with outrider, Mangler, experimental interface, lando, and determination, and tracer missiles PLUS three z95s with concussion missiles and guidance chips. On the last turn time was called and a now shuttleless Ghost with 2 hull left for me was all I had left going into combat phase. My opponent had Leebo left, also with just two hull. So both were PS-5 and I had imitative. I shot first and rolled hit, crit, blank, blank and he evaded the hit with his roll. He pulled the two crits to use Leebo to decide which one to take and I knew that there was no way I'd kill him between Leebo AND determination. UNLESS he drew the improbable... Which he did... Two "direct hit" cards, destroying Leebo. However then he got to fire back (simultaneous fire with PS-5) with mangler canon and Kanan spent a focus to make it only a two dice attack. He rolled hit, blank and mangler turned the hit to a crit. So I had to avoid drawing direct hit to stay alive and win the game. I drew and flipped Loose Stabilizer. Crazy win.

I had lots of fun.
