I have a Play-by-Post game of the old WEG Far Orbit Project adapted to the FFG system. The following existing PCs are available to be taken over immediately, or new players can create their own substitutes:

• Commander Jan Brenko, Weapons Officer (Human Commander/Commodore)
• Lieutenant Orys Nor, Squadron Leader (Human Ace)
• Flight Officer Taamos Selkant, Pilot (Duros Explorer/Driver+Force Emergent)
• Senior Lieutenant Bria Tannen, Ship's Doctor (Human Colonist/Doctor)
• Lieutenant Kareth Dune, Procurement Officer (Human Diplomat/Quartermaster+Agitator)
• Commander Orav Tokan, Chief Engineering Officer (Human Engineer/Mechanic)
• 10× additional open pilot slots
• dozens of open naval trooper slots, including one for a platoon leader (Lieutenant)

Players are allowed to have more than one character. In fact, it's recommended. So long as a player does not have more than one character of the same type (ship's senior officer, pilot, grunt).
