Story Hooks for your Rebel Base/Homestead/...the other one :D

So I've been playing this little game on steam for a while, called Planetbase, fun little base management game, and every time I load it up, I start finding myself fusing the game setting with Star Wars, and how it could be some kind of Rebel base, and how that might play out for funsies. So, as I am want to do on forums, I decided I'd toss up an idea or two for General Purpose Yoinking, and invite you to share some of your own.

Dwelling! (...you know...House...cause it's another word for a place you live...NEVERMIND!)

This is directly from my game of Planetbase, seeing as I end up having these injured people land at my colony for medical treatment, or they die. They started coming in such large numbers that I basically turned it into a space triage/hospital, with a large medical wing and staff.

This would work best if you have a character who's primary spec is something of a healer. Either the literal Healer from FaD, or the other healer types from the other game lines. The base resources have some level of medical facilities to them, and maybe the base manager is a medical professional or something. Treat the base like you normally do for a while, let it and them get established with it, but then, have them get a call from their manager, stating they've got a big problem. Seeing as the war against the Empire is ongoing in every corner of the galaxy, there is a constant flow of casualties. Their base is the nearest location with anything even remotely approaching a medical facility, and they've got the decks of their ships lined with injured crew. Your manager needs help, now! Either in the form of the medical PC breaking off from the rest of the group for a solo jaunt as healer/doctor, and you know, actually being able to see those talents they invested in pay off on a larger scale than just "I patch up my friends blaster/saber holes". Maybe introduce some kind of contagion, and now the facility is quarantined, while the Doctor PC tries to isolate the problem and determine if it's some new Imperial biological agent, or something environmental from where they were fighting. Now the other players have to maybe go off, without their Hole-Patcher, and be his eyes/ears/hands elsewhere. Maybe track down some Imperial doctor, and shake him down for information on what happened. Or, if it's just rows and rows of badly injured rebel soldiers, maybe they just need to go get a ton of supplies. Bacta, stimpacks, bacta tanks even. Maybe this will let your legit trader PC flex his marketing muscles and establish some new business partners in the medical fields for the supplies, perhaps forcing the party to take on some Obligation to the merchant for the urgent need of the materials, and/or do a mission for him as payment, "Since you need this stuff so badly....*sighs* I dunno, it's gonna be expensive.....oooor...you could *insert hook here*. Or maybe you guys raid some Imperial medical facility for their gear, or maybe a Black Sun facility, if you're feeling desperate. Or maybe the PC's have to go and hire some medically trained minion groups, to expand on the personnel. Any number of fun combinations could be had.

Let's see....I had a second idea....but I lost it. Oh well! That's the gist of the point of this thread. Feel free to yoink any of that if you wish for your game, and feel free to share other ideas, maybe for the 2 other facility types if you like, or more Base stuff! Enjoy! :D
