Well, an AC-Tempest swarm *loves* those fat, juicy targets. Even without Cluster Missiles, you can land 8 damage a turn they can't really do anything about (they'll certainly never trigger the 'reinforced deflectors'). And with Cluster Missiles? LOL - one-turn kill, no problem.
(Although it kinda sucks against most other lists, so...)
Hmm its not bad. I've actually tried the Cluster swarm before. It works about 2 or 3 times, and then the other player learns how to avoid it. Also trying to catch the ace/more mobile other large ship is kind of hard.

Anything that kills the decimator works just as well against the Ghost tbh.
As soon as I get a stand that allows my Ghost to actually STAND up while being played I will be one of the masses!
Great ship, pilots and really fun idea. Sure wish my stand actually worked so I can play....

If I can get some sort of reply to this from FFG honestly think I will get another Ghost for the upgrade cards and to run dual bare ghosts in the future.
Anti Decimator builds should hit ghost hard. Hello swarms....
There are lots of different Specter (Ghost/Phantom combo) builds, and I'm not sure anything hard counters _all_ of them. However!
The Specter has 200 degrees of primary weapon blind space, and the highest PS pilot is 7. So a Whisper, Inquisitor, or Soontir led team should be able to get into a blind spot and plink it down. For maximum lol's, get Carnor Jax into range 1 on the non-arc side of a TLT toting Specter.
All Specter builds rely on maneuverability or actions. Try Blount + Ion Missiles. Try a stresshog. If you know where your opponent is going to be, you can get in that blind spot.
I know that basically every Specter build includes a turret. However, that's a _bonus_, not the reason for the build. If you're not inside the 80 degree front or 80 degree rear arc, you're basically facing a 56 point (minimum!) 2 red dice ship that is at the mercy of your red dice. That's not at all scary. That's actually way less impressive than basically anything else your opponent could have brought with those points.
Relax this is still the feel for the new stuff. I don't really see the Ghost emerging as a new build for the rebels just yet.
Now the Jumpmaster 5000, that would be an interesting ship to see. The only thing is I'm seeing the 3 scout list more on Vassal than on Table, so I'm not exactly sure it will replace brobots for top scum list.

Ghosts do blow up a Y in 2 attacks or so. well, 3 for me, cuz i kept rolling 3 hits off 5 dice for some reason with focus.
I'm not super fond of the stress or Ion option. I've never seen the ion option do well in competitive level play. What have you seen?
Also Ghost with TLT and Phantom equipped still has TLT out the side arcs.
I'm really like the Spectre as a nickname, though its unintuitive and will have to be explained to every new member ever.

How about 'Spooky' as the moniker?
TIE Swarm - add Howl Runner, Mauler, Backstabber, Zeta Leader etc
Cartel Marauder swarm - would be a little amusing. Even with 5 dice shooting, unlikely to be one-shot by a single ghost
The Ghost is not that scary, when you know how to deal with it.
For example my last lose in Ghost was vs 2xDefender with Tie x7 Title, that give Evades, and Tie/O (i think it was tie/o).
He focus fired Ghost, and i was unable to put that damage back in.
I was flying Ghost, Poe, A.
Also Ghost does not like Cluster Missles at all, especially with Guidance Chip and/or Glitterstim.
What i like about Ghost, it bring freshness to lists.
I just love BRObotting crits into it.

I do think IGs will work just fine against the Ghost.
Yeah. I was gonna try some defenders with x7. That level of damage mitigation is serious.

Ion cannon on ghost is the strongest place it can be:
-covers blind spots
-1-2 range is better than 2-3 with ghost.
-same chance to hit as TLT
-you can go primary > eot ion to setup nice primary for next turn < that one mostly, no other ship can benefit from ion so much.
-it things go foobar you can even try to ion 2 ships and swoop out of arc

I say FCS better on Ghost that Adv.Sensor, but Adv.Sensor can work. That's 74-76pts, you still have 26-24pts for a ship, like B-Wing ![]()

Or a HWK, better. Because single B can't do hell, and HWK can make shots matter, or give you that focus you're missing after those red maneuvers

I think this should hurt a ghost pretty badly good survival at range three the fleet officer buffs the taps when they get into range two so they have two focus for the missiles after that it buffs vessery while he cleans up the escorts.
I used a Palob, 4-LOM and scout build to take down a chopper/sabine build at a local SC this Sunday. Steal it's tokens, hit it hard, drop stress on it. 4 dice unmodified isn't that scary, just stay away from any autoblaster/accuracy corrector bubbles.
