Played encounter 1 for A Fat Goblin. I did not see anything in the rule book or FAQ stating what happens to the familiar between encounters. If the reanimate was alive at the end of Encounter 1, does he get placed automatically in Encounter 2, or do I need to use a special action to redeploy him in Encounter 2?

He goes away and has to be summoned again.

This same thing came up for me last night because my geomancer wanted to keep her stones up in the second encounter. I said that's not possible because the encounter has very specific rules saying where to place heroes. Familiars aren't listed, therefore can't be placed in setup.
