On p. 46 under the rivet gun balanced barrel attachment description, it says the following:

"...such an additional makes it obvious that the device is liable to be fired at range, as few Technicians can make a coherent case that they legitimately need to be able to bolt hull plates onto a starship with pinpoint accuracy at a distance of several meters."

This reads like a challenge. Any takers?

"Yes, this is a mobile repair ship, but none of the docking clamps are functional and we haven't managed to get them back online. So we just have our customers fly reeeeeaaal close and hold the plating in place for us..."
