This isn't a post begging for info on the next reveal as I am quite content with the content we just got and letting it settle will make me happy. However adepticon X-wing starts on Thursday with the Hoth Open and it seems a likely enough place to unveil the models. Probably won't get any cards but what do you think, are we getting it this week? Given that we usually know what's next before we get the current stuff (I know Imperial Veterans but we got about all we are gonna get from that I think) it seems like the timing is right, the location is right enough, and it'll be one of the biggest tournaments they've ever held.

I hope not. My gaming budget for the near future is ring-fenced for Tanks and Conquest.

I'm not. I don't like not having a wave to be speculating on at all times.

I mean, I guess Imp Vets is still coming, but it's not the same.

I don't think that will happen. I feel it's much too early for any info.

Historically, it varies. Wave 6 was announced well before Wave 5 hit stores, 8 was announced shortly before 7 did(right?). Conversely, Wave 7 was announced a couple months after Wave 6 hit, and there was a pretty sizable gap between the release of Wave 3 and the announcement of Wave 4. That said the gaps have been trending smaller so we'll see.

Because whatever they announce soon will be for sale at GenCon. I suspect wave 9 announcement this week for summer/fall release and wave 10 at gencon for winter 2017 release.

I'd definitely expect an announcement in the coming weeks, if not at Adepticon. Seems like a likely place, though, especially considering that isn't it where the Hoth tournament is taking place? Then a soft release at GenCon, full release in the fall, and a Wave 10 announcement at GenCon for early 2017 release.

This has been the pattern since the release of Wave 4. A Wave is announced shortly after one reaches the shelf.

I wonder if new X-Wing reveals will be more closely tied to new Disney product rollouts. Seems like we'll see ships tied more to new content than to older content.

Beyond that, it was a nine-month period from Wave 8 was announced to release. Given that Rogue One is slated for a December release, I'd think it'd be a nicely time announcement to get Wave 9 news out sometime very soon, especially that FFG is on record for saying the next releases will feature SW:Rebels and Rogue One ships. They've also stated, in another interview I can't find right now, that they're not going to be as tight-lipped on Rogue One as they were with Force Awakens.

The announcement could come ANY time. IMO. About 6 months will pass before it hit stores. And even though I haven't bought any Wave 8 yet, by the time Nine hits I'll be knee deep in this current wave but anxious the fly the new one.....

All that said, I can't freakin' wait to hear about the next wave!
