Concerned by the lack of upcoming books

By jivjov, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

The next book is a Gungan recipe collection and traditional folk dance book......

My folks never danced like that!

We've had quite a few player books lately - I think the next sourcebook announced will be a EotE setting book, like Suns of Fortune or Lords of Nal Hutta.

Okay, I'm starting to get twitchy. I can only play around with the same numbers for so long before I've dissected them every way to Sunday. It's time for another announcement...

I don't even care if they announce it and then it sits "In Development" for over a month, I just want more data to play with! Gaaaaahhh! >_<

If I had to guess, we're probably getting a canned game or a region book next. Both are long overdue.

While I AM predicting the Bounty Hunter book as the next Career book to be announced, I am not predicting it as the next book or even the next Edge book.

I'm thinking the next Edge book will be a Region book, probably for shadowports or more general "Outer Rim" locations.

But since we're wishing on stars:

Something involving Tatooine has to be on the radar for Edge, its so iconic which is what FFG stick too, but its also the most likely place for Jawa who will undoubtedly get PC stats before the end. I could imagine a Colonies book, or a Tatooine/Geonosis book with a bit on Ryloth. I do hope they break the pattern and get No Disintegrations out next though, and for Christmas.

I'm thinking a location book is next too. Though AoR surprised me with two back to back career books so anything is possible I guess. Though I'm tossing in as the wild card location book for EotE ........ Mandalorian space. It'll be used to hold us over until they get around to doing the Bounty Hunter book. :D

Can you somehow graph your data? Visuals might suggest some clues the numbers alone won't. At least for some.

Something definitely changed in the recent merger.

Development and releases are not always a flawless linear process.

What the pirate said. I'm very much a visual person; I use color frequently in order to add an extra dimension of data to my spreadsheets, and I graph things constantly.

Take my word for it that the graphs don't add much of value.

If we're doing the wishful thinking game for future books, I'd really like to see an AoR location book with a "Behind Enemy Lines" theme. Detail out a bunch of Imperial loyalist worlds, garrisons, bases, etc for the purposes of infiltration and/or assault.

Would also be a good way to buff out the lists of Imperial gear and vehicles, which I think will be the closest we'll ever get to the oft-requested Imperial player book.

That...is an awesome idea, one I'm somewhat angry at myself for not thinking of, and one I hope FFG decides to steal if they aren't working on it already.

That's a book I could definitely make use of. Of course, there's no way it would be out by ,July 10, the first time I'd really need it. So, I'll just cobble stuff together.

Count me in on wanting this one.

This book should detail Coruscant and 10 to 14 Imperial loyalist worlds, have a lot of Imperial military hardware including the Executor-class star dreadnaught as well as a couple of top secret Imperial projects. The title should be Imperial Entanglements. It should published next autumn so new information about Coruscant from Star Wars: Rogue One can be included.

For example Lords of Nal Hutta was one of the first books worked on and took an extremely long time to come out.

I would love for Baston to make it into such a book.
