Well, if BKL had his way, every ship would have cards for every obscure iteration somewhere in the massive dungheap that was the EU.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
No, just no. Your proposals are too expensive; too wordy; too prescriptive. Speaking frankly, they're terrible.
Not to say the least that Y-Wings don't actually need a "fix" (god I hate that word). They are perfectly viable as either a turret or ordnance carrier. If you're trying to fly them as dogfighters/jousters, then you're playing them wrong (not to mention completely ignoring what the Y-Wing was all about thematically).
It would be nice to see some more Y-Wing pilots, especially with an EPT slot. But that's all it needs.
I cant agree, I feel these would be great in epic, which alot were thought up for. Who cares if it needs a fix, we get cards for many ships giving them more options for more unique builds that are not broken, like the B-Wing.
A4 Y-Wings are dogfighters, jousters, Interceptors, hence why they do well in dogfights, like in SWTFU1 cutsences, Reb Assault 2, They are just as fast as X-Wings and at least 1 Gold had theirs moded to be just as manuverable. If your talking about XWing mini game mechanics I will point out A4 makes Ys into jousters.

I wouldnt call it a dungheap, 80% of the new stuff however...

At the beginning of the Combat Phase, you may choose 1 other friendly ship at range 1. Until the end of the round, that ship gains 2 agility and you lose 1 agility.

Not touching the rest of your post, but what use stressing a huge ship?
Prevents it from making actions.

Are you quite sure you are up to date with the huge ship rules?

Yep, the Immortals they´re called.
Puck Naeco (X-Wing)
At the beginning of each round, you may choose another ship at range 1-2 with pilot skill 6 or higher. Until the end of the round, you possess the same ability as that ship.
Try to guess, how I made that up ![]()

Huge ships are unaffected by stress, focus, and evade tokens (with a special exception for Esege Tuketu)

Thinking about that, this is so horribly broken
But I think Naeco should be a copycat anyway. So, how about:
"At the beginning of each round, you may choose another ship at range 1-2. Treat your pilot skill as equal to that ship."
Makes him nice and versatile fighter.
You guys are forgetting the biggest Vet of them all... Nien Nunb
Canonically, the Y-Wing pilots in the movie are Tyree, Pops and Hutch. There may have been a Dutch, but he is not on screen. We have "Hutch" already, his name is Dutch Vander.Davish Krail, Tyree and Hutch.
Edit: and even Krail's name is uncertain, of course!
While that may be true of the movie, it is also a possible mispronunciation, and has since then been regarded as Dutch. So I highly doubt they will ever make a Hutch card. Even the Wookiepedia entries are Dutch, with a D, though they do mention that Hutch was said or heard.
Dutch, of course, being a *highly* exclusive moniker, reserved only for the very best.
It's perfectly clear what is canon and what is not. Wookieepedia is not. What happens in the movie, is what happens. So Hutch it is.

So the document that is the movie in text form is not canon? Right.....
Furthermore, it's not clear what the actor actually says. It's indistinct; he could have said either. And so, in that case, we turn to other sources. And all the other sources say 'Dutch'.

Ah, the good old "I've no counter argument so I'm just going to ignore the substance of your post and be a smart arse"...
Let's try this one more time:
It is not clear what is said in the movie. It could be Dutch; it could be Hutch. So we turn to other sources to seek the answer. In my case, I've gone to the actual movie script. That says 'Dutch'
The official Star Wars Databank also says "Dutch':
http://www.starwars.com/databank/jon-dutch-vander
Now, if you'd like to post some evidence to support your claim of 'Hutch', then please do...

You going to keep telling me (and others) we're wrong when starwars.com itself says otherwise?

While the Databank has been changed from time to time - it should be kept in mind that published newcanon media (Ultimate Star Wars) calls him Jon "Dutch" Vander.

That's my point. All the official (i.e. canon) supporting sources call him 'Dutch'. So Dutch it is.

Yup. We can't retcon him being called Hutch in the movie (DVD and possibly BluRay subtitles say so) - but we can say that his nickname was mispronounced.
