Last night I lost the mission A Simple Task, but that's not the point.

So we set up the board and I picked my open groups. After that they chose to take Luke along for the rerolls (He'd served them well in the past)

So, right out of the gate, I dropped a tank on them , literally. Starting green deployment point, dropped a tank right next to their starting point, it was *awesome.

The rebels were Garkaan and Jyn Odan with the legendary upgrade. I was playing Military Might with Assault Armor and Sustained Fire. I dropped 10 dice on the wookie first activation . Course they blew up the tank, but I got my damage in so who cares?

The wookie used his activation to charge the next group (a pair of trandosian hunters) and killed one instantly. The other nailed him in the guts for 5 damage before getting slaughtered.

Between rounds I played Weakness Revealed on Garkaan and had gathered enough threat to throw down my last two open groups at the second deployment point, an elite eweb backed by an elite Officer... And the wookie charged the gun.

The eweb fired twice, then fired again with Fire at Will, the again from the officer, then again from Sustained Fire, boosted with Show of Force, for SIXTEEN dice of damage, wounding Garkaan and piling damage on top if that. It was my greatest moment.

At that point they remembered they were supposed to be running and not fighting, and eventually won, but holy cow. The look on that players face when he realized what was going on was worth every point I spent in the combo. They complained about for the rest of the night. Even when they *won, they still complained I was overpowered. It was freakin awesome.

Had a similar story here, was playing Twin Shadows mini campaign. They were doing the mission where they have to go up the mountain and were getting suspicious because I hadn't purchased any open groups yet and only had a token defense of stormtroopers and the tuskens. When they got to the green pointI bombarded them with an ATST. Just plopped it on their feet. I maaged to stall them for a while (I was losing badly) and did good damge, but they eventually blew it up. I narrowly won that mission because Saska flubbed her roll to blow up the door.
