I'm not complaining about Triple U-Boat. I like the effect it's having on the meta, it being arguably OP is good for the game.

No, don't you get it? Putting your ships in a big block and 1-forwarding them up the board until you and your opponent compete to see which of you can roll better dice is the only true test of X-Wing skill. Post-maneuver repositioning is basically the same as cheating.

It hurts when I watch live streams, and this is what happens. Watched the Athena store champ and watched 3 TIE advanced fly straight into a 7 TIE howler/epsilon swarm. They then congratulated the advanced player on how good of a pilot he is... It boggled my freaking mind. Now that more stuff is becoming viable and things like the tractor beam are starting to show up in lists, it's just going to make things more interesting.

In defense of our statements (not that I need to defend them) there is a difference between being a good pilot, and a good tactician. Jousting with the TIE Adv against the TIE's was a poor tactical decision, however his use of post maneuver re positioning was textbook and impressive nonetheless despite the tactical blunder.
