Ghost w BP crit

By Tb0ned, in X-Wing

Interesting scenario cane up with a mate of mine in a match...

A jumpmaster with PS 6 shot first and landed the Blinded pilot crit on my ghost with docked shuttle and phantom title card.

Now, the ghost obviously misses his primary/torpedoes shots that round in order to turn the crit down, BUT, since that was the ghost's "next opportunity to attack", does it then get the turret shot at the end of the combat phase?

Thanks!

I believe it does because the turret is committing to an additional separate attack after the "next opportunity to attack" had already occurred.

However, this begs the question. What if the Jumpmaster 5000 had the same PS as that of the Ghost. Does the Ghost get to do it's first attack as a simultaneous attack and it's second, end of combat phase attack become the "next opportunity to attack" (provided the turret is in range of an attack that turn).

No. The next opportunity to attack is the simultaneous attack, which it loses.

If British Petroleum starts using VCXes we're doomed!

bad joke :(

anyways: the turret shot at the end of the combat phase is a separate attack just like Corran's double tap. If you haven't fired regular yet (to include simultaneous fire) then that's 0 and you still get the extra shot later, if you have fired already then you have the option to make your end of combat attack 0.

Aha! BP = British Petroleum.

It's late and I don't do caffeine so I'm a little slow on the uptake.
