Soontir Fel, Squad Leader, Royal Guard title, Autothrusters, Experimental Interface

Huh, huh? (:-)

What could you use this for? We have 66 points to play with. 3x Baron of the Empire, 3x Prockets, 3x Guidance Chips?

I tried my best. What could we do to maximize Support Fel? 34 point Support Fel, Crack Squadron, 2x Gamma Squadron, 2x Homing Missiles, 2x EM, 2x Chips for 99 points? If a Bomber gets bumped it can be handed a TL or a BR or a focus to double modify the shot.

With the one point initiative bid you can make sure you move last, allowing a ship to do an action at PS 9.

It seems like it has potential, interested in what we could fly with Support Fel to maximize Squad Leader.

But Vader does it so much better...

Fel is a triple action ship and Vader is a double action ship. Fel remains at double action if he's using his Squad Leader ability. However, unlike Vader he's locked into Focus and Squad Leader as two of those actions whereas Vader has free choice. I can see an argument for both.

Given Fel's going to want to fire Squad Leader pretty much all the time I think he really needs a companion that'll thrive on that action economy. Non-Vader ATC TIE advanceds for example.

I love ideas that shake up established norms, but Fel with squad leader doesn't really ring any bells. He's already riding the razor's edge, and as such doesn't have actions to give out.

That's the real problem with experimental interface. Since it only lets you use an additional action from an upgrade card, with Fel we only have EPTs to choose from. Just look to any discussion on Youngster to see how far that rabbit hole goes.

TLTs are still prevalent and Scouts will fall back to their PWTs once they've fired all their torpedoes, so you still want Autothrusters.

I like freeing Fel from PLT, but I don't think EI is the answer. Same out come, stressed Fel, for less options.

Stressing Fel is the point of Fel.

Sounds fun until Fel is the last man standing. Now he can't stress himself.

EI Fel? Needs a better EPT.

You sacrifice one extra evade die and your evade action to give some other guy in the squad one action.

This has to be the most unselfish thing I ve heard in a while.

Just play daredevil fel, it's crazy and bad but really really fun until he explodes.

No, you can evade, EI for Squad Leader which gives you a stress and a focus.

Squad Leader Fel is still getting 3 actions a turn like PtL Fel is, except one of those actions goes to someone else in his squad.

Anti-Fel:

Expose

RGP title

Targeting computer

Experimental Interface

Still gets three 'actions', TL, focus and expose, even more of a glass cannon than a scyk.

Rage

Title

Choice of mod

Experimental Interface

Step 1.) Focus

2.) EI for Rage, which gives you your second focus. The 2 stress that Rage gives you hand you your 3rd and 4th focus token.

3.) EI gives you a stress. 5 Focus tokens. Obviously your first action should be evade, so 4 focus and an evade and what is essentially a TL.

Assuming Autothrusters as your first mod that's 33 points. Not too shabby, seems playable.

^not after the first round! 3 stress on Soontir, the opponent doesn't even need stressbot!

Somebody give you a bad day with Fel, and now you're trying to single-handedly put pathetic Fel into the meta? :P

Last Fel I encountered bumped into a Feedback Array JM5k of mine. It then proceeded to take 2 damage from a Plasma Torpedo from another JM. Taste feedback, Soontir.
