Utah Regionals - Registration INCLUDES Entire Convetion

Wanted to get this out to anyone thinking of coming in to Utah or on the fence. Your Registration of $20 includes the entire 3 day Salt Lake Gaming Con, so you can come in early and enjoy the CON before the big tournament on Saturday Friday the 3rd will feature some additional events.
Date: June 4th, 2016

Registration: $20 (CON Included!!!) - Special Registration Link to Follow (Do not buy tickets through the normal website)

Venue: Salt Lake Gaming Con - South Town Expo Center (June 2nd-3rd)
Come in Early to enjoy this three-day convention features video games, tabletop games, and cosplay.

Address: 9575 S State St. Sandy, Utah 84070

Registration: Day Before and Morning Of (Pre-Registration link to follow)

Games Start: 9.00AM SHARP (Due to the event closing at midnight we will stick to a very strict schedule).

Format: As per the FFG X Wing Tournament Guidelines

This is falls under the FFG competitive play so we will have as many rounds as necessary to reach the "cut" of players for the final rounds.

PRIZES: FFG Regional Prize kit PLUS additional prizes to be announced.

Sounds great! I will be traveling through the area on the day of the tournament, so I will only need access for the one day. Is the site you linked the only place to register? Or do I need to register and/or pay through the sponsoring game store?

I'm assuming if I register for the Con that I will not have a reserved seat for the X-Wing Regional...

Hello X-wing players. As promised below is the link to register for the UTAH regionals event in June.

We have 148 spots open and they will probably fill up fast as we have worked out a great deal for you guys. The event is taking place at the Salt Lake Gaming Con and for the $20 registration you will get entry to the tournament as well as full weekend access to the convention!!

Please make sure you read the write up for the event as there is some very important information there.

It seems like check-ins are preferred the night before but could also happen at 8 AM the next morning.

"As we have a hard time limit for this event we will be having check-ins the night before at our booth, please come with your squad list, or right as the event opens at 8:00 AM."

Is there a set time frame the evening before that works best?

I've got family out there I've been wanting to visit. I'm just a little ways out in northwest Colorado. Maybe a trip to SLC in June is in order...

Hello X-wing players,

We have arranged for a discount on rooms for folks from out of town or who want to stay at a hotel during regionals, The hotel is the Courtyard Marriott (10701 South Holiday Park Drive Sandy, UT 84070). The phone number is 801-571-3600. $99 per night plus tax. In order to get the discount you must call the hotel and ask for the D Games rate for the nights of the 3rd through the 6th of June. The reservation must be made by Monday May 20th.

They also have a shuttle to and from the convention center that runs until 1:00 AM on the days of the event.

We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Quick question- I've seen a variety of furball rules online, mostly dealing with small based ships, and usually around 30 squadron points on a single ship. What are the specific rules for the large and small base fur balls the night before the tournament?

I believe my friends running it will do something similar to last year. I'll ask them to start putting the details together.

Sounds like the Joust may not be happening this year. It's just a normal furball with 1 ships. I'll find out the details.

Stone Forge Studio will be live streaming recording our regionals and posting to YouTube! For those that don't know they did Denver's Regionals just a few weeks ago and did an amazing job! We're hoping we can figure out the internet issue to allow streaming.

Yes, you can. However, it is probably cheaper to buy the $20 X-wing Regional ticket (which gets you in all 3 days!) than it is to by a multi-day or even a single day pass.

Is there any reason not to bring a squad list printed off from one of the online list builders? Specifically, PDF formatted version of my squad list printed from Fab's Squadron Generator?
