Dengar/Zuckuss

Yeah, you heard that right, it's a list with a Jumpmaster that isn't a torp fest (mostly because it is HARD to find wave 8 in these parts, and I currently lack the access or funds to get 3). Mostly a fun list, but hopefully it will be really fun.

Predator, K4, R4-B11, glitterstim, title

Zuckuss

Veteran Instincts, gonk, e-baffle, inertial dampeners, title, tractor beam, shield upgrade

I like the idea, but K4 and Predator really fill the same function, giving you attack re-rolls. If you are doing greens for K4 anyway, maybe swap that predator for Push the Limit?

I like your Zuckuss quite a bit! I'm sure you will get some questions with Gonk and action efficiency, but I think it is worth a shot with the slow rolling beginning.

Gonk is bad on Zuckuss, he can only do 1 action per turn and evading is literally just as good as Gonk if he gets shot. Sure you can maybe fly away and regen a shield or 2, but the Mist Hunter isn't exactly the fastest ship, and I've even had problems getting away from people to Gonk with super-dengar. My Dengar/Zuckuss build is this

Dengar-Title, Push the Limit, Unhinged astromech, Proton Torps, extra munitions, K4, Engine Upgrade

Zuckuss-4-LOM, Sensor Jammer, TItle+tractor, Predator

99 points. Zuckuss is pretty deadly accurate with a reroll or two and the ability to take away mods, sure it makes him predictable, but sensor jammer makes it pretty hard to kill him if he's focused anyways. Standard super-dengar of doom with a free target lock to get those protons off in the opening volley, k4 also opens him up to use a boost or barrel roll every round as well as focus. THose shield upgrade points have been put to much better use on Zuckuss, SJammer is gonna stop a whole lot of damage going through over the course of the game. Remember not to shoot at the guy who Zuckuss is going to shoot with Dengar, unless he has multiple focus/evades.

The idea with predator and K4 was to use the target lock to trigger B11 and predator for the attack it is admittedly a bit fiddly, though.

And using VI on Zuckuss was to get him to the same PS as Dengar. Especially if the opportunity presents itself to tractor someone into range one and/or arc of Dengar, it's gimmicky, and to be honest 2 range 1 shots with Dengar will rarely be better than just blasting away with Zuckuss and then Dengar. At least not better enough to justify it (if I can land the tractor, I probably don't need the -1 evade to just shoot him with Zuckuss). So all fair points.

I hadn't considered B11, that is a good combo with K4. It is kinda like a two card, stressless Zuckuss crew. I thought it was the unhinged astromech Shooty-McSelfdamage, I really need to learn names, read closer, and not assume things.

Ok, but what's better, do more damage to the TLT ship with a TL/focus, or use Gonk... I think the answer is obvious. If anyone wants Gonk in this build, it's Dengar, since he's at least pretty maneuverable and can get away from people to regen a couple shields.

Dengar at the moment feels like a great first ship for a two-ship list, but Scum don't really have a properly strong second one to follow it up with.

The problem isn't that Dengar isn't good, it's that he's a point hog. And there are other strong ships, but they're all expensive. Putting him with Kath is hard without stripping Dengar down, or doing the same to Kath. Same for most other ships, the Firespray is expensive, and the YV is incredibly easy to counter, making Bossk an ok second, but if there's an orc dodger alive with him endgame, he loses.
