Best 3-4 HP Ships (not including Interceptors)

I've got incredibly fixed feelings about the TAP greens

on one hand, great for the Inquisitor if he's derping around uncontested

on the other, it is basically impossible to avoid blockage from large bases, because the surface area covered by your potential positions are simply far smaller than they would've been at speed 2

gets a little aggravating v torp scouts; really forces you to play the long con with the 4 forward and taking your time to get back into the fight

If you're getting blocked way too much, you're free to put Ion MK II engines on your ship instead of autothrusters. Ion engines gives that ship an amount of green maneuvers that I would label "preposterous". Is it the most greens in the game? I think it might be.

Autothrusters are bonkers super extra chocolaty amazing, but if not having Ion Engines is causing you to get blocked every turn, maybe they're not worth the 3 actions per turn you're losing?

I'd rather live for more than one turn, and I'd happily give up green banks to do it :P

no, they're not worth it over thrusters. I'd much rather do the counter move: run away with 4 forward and take the long way around to come back. Better to take things slow and with modifiers rather than gamble on thruster-less green dice

I don't think the inquisitor is meant to pair with PTL. See Starviper.

VI/Juke/Lone Wolf/crackshot all seem like great choices though.

Big big difference between the two: inquisitor/tap have hard turns that are green.

Both have seemly good dials until they are stressed. Both have pretty sad dials when so. They are pretty much exactly as durable under fire with TAP getting an evade. The big difference is a Naked Starviper is 25. So is a naked Inquisitor.

Really? Nothing can out turn the TAP, save Tycho. 1 hards + Boost and you can do that every turn. If you need to GTFO, you have the 4 forward, or even a 5 if you think you can get out without clearing the stress. Something the Starviper simply cannot do.

Except for the white 4-k turn of the Defender, the 1 green hard is probably the best maneuver in the game.

I just flew my TAP for the first time yesterday, with the inquisitor, I forgot the title (facepalm) and he still performed great. that's pretty sweet in my opinion. I really like this ship.

Imo your choice is unfair. He said except interceptors and you pick immediately the closest thing to an interceptor :P

And I totally agree with your choice. And vader is out as the TIE Advanced x1 has 3 Hull and 2 Shields.

I hear you, but as somebody who flew Vader and a Palp Deci for about 4 months straight, I can say that while autothrusters are clearly the best 2pt upgrade in the game, your aces don't necessarily auto-explode without them, as long as you fly them with due caution.
