If you need a self-sufficient, solid threat at 29 points what's your go-to?

Jake with refit is 28 points.

Some variation of generic T70.

Fat shuttle piloted by Ezra or Sabine

Warden with TLT.

Something on a B-Wing isn't terrible I guess. I'd probably build something in the 27-31 point range freely and then look back to see if there's something in my list I can reconfigure.

Gray Stresshog is amazing now that Scout torp boats are a thing.

Luke + R4-D6 (or R2) + Adaptability + IA wouldn't be terrible.

I'm liking the PS4 Gray Stresshog (naturally... I mean, come on... look at my username) and I'm trying to decide if Adaptability Poe is good enough versus VI with Gold. I need more mileage to decide...

A Red Vet T-70 with HLC (3) or a Warden’s K-wing with TLT.

Depends on the rest of your list really, but a couple of ships come to mind:

X-Wing Biggs, Integrated Astromech and R2D2 is 29

Attack Shuttle Hera - is 22 points, which leaves room for EPT, crew and a turret.

I'd pick this or Biggs droid IA, and a 3 point upgrade on something else.

Wedge and Wes are each 29 points (IIRC) if you want a "self-sufficient threat." Their abilities are beastly.

Sabine with PtL, Kanan, and an Autoblaster turret. She can solo 3-4 ships lower PS than her.

Ezra PTL TLT. Dude is a beast. Also like the Sabine shuttle mentioned above. Jake not bad either!

I think you will be spoiled for choice. You can get up to 2 ships.

Now 19 points there is a tricky problem.

Red veteran with targeting astromech and cool hand.

BB8 + Blue Ace + Integrated Astromech

Wedge + Adaptability.

You can also go for Sabine in the shuttle, Chewbacca crew, PtL, makes her more survivable with the extra HP and her evade.

Also, the Gray Squadron stresshog is a nice investment over gold. In many matchups it won't matter but vs. rebel generics, other gold TLT's, torpedo boats and Obsydian/Black Tie Fighters it's 2 points very well spent.

or if you want actions - sabine + ptl + kyle katarn.
