Big Butt Dengar and Obese Guri

Been playing around with Dengar in my list, but he eats up points fast. Wanted to see if this was a viable Scum build with only 2 ships.

Put Recon Spec on Dengar for when he gets to shoot twice. Adv. Proton Torps on Guri because it just works so well. Cloaking Device can get buster, and I have lost it almost every time I have to roll for it. But it has saved her butt when it needs saving.

IMHO, Expert Handling is just not worth it, unless you fear Vessery or are flying against non-VI Vader.

VI, Lone Wolf or PtL would be my choice.

Also, Dengar's the acewing, yet, there's zero action economy on him. You're stuck to one action per turn, which is a waste.

If you're adamant on RecSpec for the second attack, R4 Agromech is your astro of choice. A fully modified second shot or, at the very least a TL for the next round.

As for Guri, if APT is working for you, then it's great. But Dengar really likes some bid for initiative.

Expert Handling is way too easy to counter: "Oh you're flying Expert Handling? Well I want to target lock you so.......................EVERYONE TARGET LOCKS!" You can't handle 3-5 target locking ships...

Thanks for the tips. Tried this list out last night before I saw your replies. I faced off against a Contracted Scout, Manaroo, and a TLT Thug. Both U-boats were running the Deadeye, R4, Plasma Torp combo and they ate Dengar alive. Poor Guri was all by herself and didn't last much longer after that. I have considered using Lone Wolf and R4 on Dengar as I feel his PS at 9 is fairly comfortable but not sure which crew is good besides Rec Spec. Maybe 4-LOM to be different. Just trying to see what else will fit with Dengar. I think he's a great ship with an awesome ability. Some people have told me that 2 Jumpmasters is necessary but I think otherwise.

K4 Sec Droid + Unhinged Astro is a popular and effective combo. That would also warrant Push The Limit and Engine Upgrade, which would give you the so-called "Super Dengar" at 56 pts. Highly mobile, fearsome warrior, bound to last longer and have greater impact on the table.

As for Guri, yours currently clocks in at 47 pts, which is a lot. If you really want to keep Adv. ProTorps, the only way out would be to downgrade Sensor Jammer for Adv. Sensors and lose Cloaking Device. If you're willing to drop it, you can upgrade Lone Wolf to Predator and either keep the 2-pt initiative bid or put Glitterstim on Dengar.
