I was thinking about Kallus because of how popular Palpaces and Poe are right now but I feel RecSpec is more versatile in case I don't face any kind of unique pilot, y'know? But that point of initiative could be really important in some matches! It's a tough choice!

I think Kallus might still be the right choice. Say you face quad TLTs or Crack Swarm. You just pick one of the enemy ships and save them for last (unless the other side really hangs them out there). It's not as good as an extra Focus, but it's not nothing. With 3 solid ships all at PS8, I think I've convinced myself that having Kallus on hand against other aces is the right call. Between Echo and Vessery, you should be tearing down mid PS generics pretty well. Vessery and Omega Leader will already be hard targets for other Aces, so you shore up Echo a little to make her tougher as well. Against Fel or some such, you're looking at 2 green dice + an Evade + mini Focus using Kallus, vs 2 green dice with 2 Focus Tokens with RecSpec. That Evade is way better than a Focus when the cloak isn't up. The fact that the initiative might come into play against Miranda, Corran, Omega Leader, the Inquisitor, Carnor Jax, and other VI Vesserys is icing on the cake.

I don't really play Phantoms, though, so I might be talking completely out of my ass.
