Horn (48)

Total: 99

Did you ever have Corran focused down or feel like Hera's primary was a letdown?

I would run sensors on Corran and fcs in Hera, but that's flavor.

I was thinking of trying something similar with an attack shuttle in there so you could get two double taps at the end of shooting, but it didn't seem the points were all there. Had to skimp on Corran and on the build for the rest of the Ghost. This seems better though. At least Corran is up to snuff but I haven't flown the Ghost at all yet to know of it can hold it's own without the extras from having a shuttle. The good thing about the Ghost is that 5 k-turn. Hopefully that will help you get shots.

I have, and it can. It basically becomes a big ol' battering ram, and is not subtle at all, but that 4-attack primary is viciously powerful (as the TIE Phantom's been proving for almost 2 years now), particularly if you give it FCS for free modifiers.

Autoblaster and Accuracy corrector make more sense if you have a docked shuttle. If you aren't going to dock then you might as take FCS, you should get far more mileage outta that.

What about something like this?

I've never actually been able to fly the e-wing, is Corran's ability that much better even though you have to give up an attack the next round?

Luke is just filler, I'm not sure I'd want to put him on there, BUT with FCS, you can attack with the primary attack, gain a TL, miss the attack and perform another attack with Luke + spend the TL.

And the E-wing just seems like lots of actions with AS+PTL, though AS could be dropped.

I didn't 'get' Horn until I flew him. And yes, giving up a shot next round IS that amazing. This is what also makes him so good a a regen candidate. You set him up for a fly-by drop some good damage on someone and hopefully make them target you as well. (For instance you want to get and give a R1 shot while the rest of the squad is back at R3) Now instead of jousting with a K-turn you can just fly off and set up another attack run as you regen any shield you lost. Feels amazing when you can pull it off effectively and fun to fly.

Also I choose to 'Double Tap' when I'm at range 1 to maximize the effect. Move to range one using the engine upgrade, PTL for the original target lock, fire using four dice, regain lock via FCS and at the end of the combat phase roll 4 dice again with the new Target Lock. Then zip on by with a 4 or five straight maneuver, While setting up for another pass, use R2D2 to recover any damage done to shields.

I'm pretty sure it's the best arc dodge the Rebels have. It's a consistent game winner for me providing something else on the board is causing considerable Aggro in the beginning of the game. When I see it on the board against me, I throw everything and the kitchen sink at it to get it off the board as fast as I can.

You should give it a try.

I think I would struggle losing EU on the Ghost. Large base boost is amazing. It also makes ABT a better choice than the Dorsal.

That's a very good point.

So with no changes to Horn you could,

FCS

ABT

Plasma Torps

Zeb

EU

or drop Hera to Kanan run:

FCS

ABT

Proton Torps

Nien Nunb

Zeb

EU

both cases you are paying for PS if you don't care about that you can drop to rebel and really open it up.
