Good stuff! I'm not a massive fan of the scrolling upgrade "ticker" (and if you're going to use it it might be worth skipping things like A-Wing Test Pilot or Chardasn Refit that don't have an "in-game" effect?) but other than that the presentation is really nice. I especially like the camera angle directly above the board.
Yes, we do lose some of the board due to the camera but glad you enjoyed it. The ticker display of Upgrades was the only solution I could come up with without having to mess with the modular nature of the overlay itself, it kept things compact yet still displayed the information.
Was the ticker display too fast or was it just distracting?
It was definitely a little distracting but, if anything, it moved a bit too slowly for me. I think it was a particular problem because you had a bunch of ships that had a bunch of upgrades, but it really needed a long time staring at the ticker to see exactly what, f'rinstance, Kath was loaded out with. As I said, if you skipped stuff like Chardaan Refit or TIE/X1 that don't have a bearing on the game state that'd help a bit. Oh, and if I'm being hyper picky, a points cost for each ship would be nice.
I don't want to sound over-critical, I really did like it overall!
