I really want Expose to work - this requires he not be worried about taking actions to increase his defense against subsequent incoming attacks from lower PS ships. It's an expensive EPT and is only useful in limit scenarios...

What would you put on him instead?

With Valen, I have been thinking of Outmaneuver. If a higher PS attacks, you can br or boost outta arc to help your upcoming attack. Against lower ships, you should have already br/boost out of their arc anyhow. Someone like Poe attacks you, you br outta arc. Now if you are in range 1, with your TL, you get 3 dice against Poe's 1. That is a nice 2/3dmg potential on Poe with a measly 2 att ship. 1 agi ships just take what you give them.

For those still reading, Expose worked really well tonight as Valen found himself face to face with higher PS ships a lot. The title/evade combo did it's job, I Exposed after each time I defended for 2-3 dice attacks with a TL.

Only comment is PtL would've sufficed for a point less. But it would've made him less offensive. Although, he was my first ship to go down..
