Hey all, I want to run a second intro battle with a friend of mine to try and "set the hook" with Armada. Here are the lists:

Imperial:

VSD-I

Screed

HTT

VSD-II

HTT

Howlrunner

5x TIE Fighter Squads

Rebel:

Neb-B Escort Frigate

General Dodonna

XI7 Turbolasers

CR90 A

TRC

CR90 B

SW-7

Luke Skywalker

3x X-wing Squads.

Any recommendations will be super helpful, as well as whether this should be played on the 3x3 or the 6x3.

Edit: I did think of putting Ackbar for the Rebels, but he does next to nothing in this list, so I left him out. That's the only problem with the Rebels, there's only one really recognizable Admiral on their side.

Unless your mate has lots of gaming experience thats far too many upgrades for a beginners list. Lets just stick with shoot, defend for now. Screeds ok, but htt, acm, nk7 etc are complex.

He's played through the normal scenario before, and said that he wants to see how the upgrades work in action. But you are, right, I did overload it. acm and nk7 are gone now, but i'm leaving htts on so everything gets one upgrade.

Fair enough, laser and ion upgrades are the most complex to consider though.

Screed jsut says, "I get better dice than you"

HTT's say, "save your brace for when this ship shoots you as you dont want to be redirecting as well".

Expanged hangers, boosted comms etc arent something the defender has to worry about. Even Intell officers are easy to defend against, as on a basic level they only come into to play when used. (Though really you should be thinking ahead, but its not quite as necessary. )

I'd consider

VSD - Flight Controllers

Glad - Wuluff, Demolisher

Rhymer, Soontire, lots of ties bombers and tie fighters

versus

AFK - Gunnery team (mostly pointless in this case but whatever)

Neb - Raymus, Yavaris

Cr90 TRC's Jaina

Tycho and slight lower Awing spam.

Show off squadrons, the two most potent title modifiers in Demo and Yav, without any upgrades which are complicated.
