Ozzel The Oppressor

By bindro, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I have been playing the Dodonna the Oppressor list my last 15 games or so it only lost once ( I flew Dodonna off the map in the store championship game to the guy who won he was the only one i didn't table space whale got away with 1 hull left no sheilds TERRIBLE).

Decided to change it up a little bit

Made an Imperial Version of the list played it once Tabled my opponent on turn 5

The double trigger APT double ram technique worked pretty well

After playing Dodonna build so much I try and focus on tabling my opponent as fast as possible

My goal with Dodonna the Oppressor was not always to table my opponent bit I'd does help. It is more focused on extreme point gathering but it can have issues with that at times.

I am not sure if this is an as oppressive list. Insidious is one of the hardest upgrades to use since you usually are in a Stern chase.

I would add precision Strike in there but that is me. Superior Positions is also good.

Give it a try and let's see what happens.

My friend used ozzel + insidious and moteferrat. It didn't show up until the second half but it was very effective. I think it can be brutal after some practice.

I have used a similar list to this in the past, and it is very effective.

This is called the Clonisher. Its been shown to be highly effective.

Why do they call it the Clonisher? Is he the first player to realize that all those cards are good in a vacuum and they're even better when they're stacked together?

Its called the Clonisher because he not only put it all together, but he used it to Stomp to Victory in the Inaugural Vassal World Tournament. So it gained a measure of Infamy.

The Clonisher isn't just the Demolisher, it was the whole list concept - which, to the forums, was at the time very innovative, and virtually undefeated.

The Clonisher refers to a specific list by a player that brought it to prominence. As with chess openings, the name may not reflect the first person to think of it, but the player who popularized it and made a significant enough of the community (in this case, the online gaming community around these forums) aware of it. As with new terms, the community doesn't always use them consistently all the way through, but the sense I get is much like Drasnighta described: a very specific outfitting of the Demolisher that is also functioning in a list with both a high activation count and a large initiative bid.

Played this list again! I was up against a Rebel mc80 Build and some skurgs/yts. First player had First Player and chose fleet ambush I placed one glad close to I could to my deployment. He place an MC80 Sidways. I placed insidious so I could double arc his rear on turn one with blacks then flew into his rear arc. Also hit him with Demolisher up close plus a ram. Anyways five damage cards on turn 1... 2 face up... It seems like most people pick Fleet ambush for an objective so thats why I have insidious. it works every other game or so if they try and run away

I must say this is not Clonisher...

This is Clonisher:

+++ Clonisher (98pts) +++

Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer (98pts) [Engine Techs (8pts), Expanded Launchers (13pts), Intel Officer (7pts), Ordnance Experts (4pts), •Demolisher (10pts)]

Created with BattleScribe (http://www.battlescribe.net)

I know minor difference, But Expanded Launchers Is Important to my technique! :P

Also this list NEEDS instigator. If you don't have a defense against squadrons they can mess you up.

Also I approve this list! :)

Of course you do. You have the antithesis to my Dodonna the Oppressor.

Demolisher is AWESOME I hope the REBELS get something like that for the MC30 in wave 3 so you don't need to be player 1 for them to pay out as often .....probably never happen by we can hope
