Was at a Store Championship, had a good day, came out to 5th place. The guy in 4th place (who is a friend) at the end of the tournament thought 1) I did well and 2) didnt want to play the guy who was obviously in 1st that already smashed our face in. So he dropped and the TOs in their infinite wisdom decided to give me 4th place.
Self reporting. Yay for boosting where literally no one is affected. The guy I played in the finals (who had already wrecked us previously) decided to once again wreck my face and went on to win the championship. Obvious collusion, obvious boosting. So whats my punishment internets?
PS totally not sad about this either.

First of all, according to Organized Play no bribe changed hands, so it's not collusion.
Second, IMO there's a huge difference between "eh, I don't feel like playing two more games tonight, so I'll drop" and "hey, if you concede this game, you can make sure we both get into the finals." What you're describing doesn't look like collusion or boosting to me.

That's not as good as the "swallow tactic", but it is a bit more subtle.

That makes me think of a new punishment.
The TO gets to break the nacelles off your USS Enterprise Attack Wing ship. Having to buy a Attack Wing ship being the major part of the punishment...

You joke about this... in Attack Wing I quit playing at a particular store because the TO called himself "Q" and if he thought you were violating a rule, he would do what Q would do and reorient your ship, remove it from the board entirely, or whatever he wanted. HE WAS THE ALMIGHTY Q!!!
I forgot to mention, he was also a very competitive player. And won a lot. I can imagine the field day this forum would have on this TO. I don't think its been played in year or more at that store.

Probably the Cheating thing is big on the forum because most people look down on cheating. But awesome work on trying make light on something that's a serious issue in wargaming.

Serious issue? War is a serious issue. The bombing in Brussles, that is a serious issue. But someone unfairly gaining an advantage on you for a game you play for fun once? Not a serious issue. In fact, I would doubt that you will play anyone in a competitive environment who cheats you. Stop being daft, realize that this is a game, for fun, its not serious and really doesnt matter.
