Who does good custom work at affordable prices?

By fistfulofforce, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Hope this isn't redundant but I don't play the game as much as I collect for the purpose of nice minis, on that note I have started playing more and have wanted to get some pieces done at a steady rate as to add new schemes to my collection.

So who does custom work. I'm looking to just pay someone to buy paint and ship to me when done. You can message me here or at [email protected]

Thanks,

Corey

Or any info on where to go to get some done.

Bump any leads at all?....

There are several YouTube channels that might help.

1) Buy painted. This guy is out of Poland and does fantastic work on 40K stuff.

2) Ichiban painting. Don't know where he's located but he's done some paint mods to x-wing ships.

3) lester Bursely. Unknown location. Very nice work.

Check out their YouTube channels for contact information. Hope this helps.

Thank you Stoneface it's a start.

Glad I could assist.

If it's any consolation ichiban (一番) is Japanese for 'number 1'. He wouldn't lie about it .. fella must be the number 1 painter in the world! I'd go with this guy because frankly, everyone else is niban (二番 - number 2).

He might be stationed in Japan. Just a guess based on a couple of comments made throughout his videos. I think but not sure that he has won a couple of Golden Demon awards for his painted minis.

I knew ichiban was number 1 from ichiban habu. Markings on a SR-71 stationed at Kadena. Which is 50% of my knowledge of the Japanese language.

Anyone state side?

Anyone state side?

There's a guy on schnauzerfaceminis out of Texas. His last YouTube upload was June or July of 2015. Dr.Fausts Painting Clinic. He's stateside but I doubt know where and I don't know if he does commission painting. He might be a source of info. There's also a YouTube channel, I think it's called tabletopminions. He's stateside and might be able to point you to a commission painter.

There are others on youtube but trying to watch their videos is sometimes painful. Mostly because of editing, or lack thereof, and not doing a couple of rehearsals before uploading. Aside from that they do nice work.

Best bet do a search of painting miniatures on YouTube, watch some vids and make contact.
