Contracted Contracted Scout hunters

Hi Everyone, with the 3x Scout list being the bugbear of the old meta world at the moment, I was thinking of possible counters.

Not a big Rebel player, never flown B wings, but I thought what is the JM5K, but a bigger B wing...yes simplistic, but that's me :)

I think you're going to miss having another ship. The B wings will drop faster than the scouts, and you will be left with a 2 on 1 by the end of the 2nd round of engagement I think. It will be nice to shoot first, but your ships will be sitting ducks, and those Scouts are actually quite nimble.

I don't agree entirely with the above. Yes, you will likely lose 1 b-wing in the opening, unless you get really lucky and off a scout before it gets to shoot (would have to be really lucky!). You can improve your odds of winning with obstacle placement. The scouts will always corner their rocks, so you want to clog up the middle (actually keep a cluster a bit on your half of the board----b-wings are slow and you want to get in among the rocks by the time shots are fired).

I do agree that a 4th ship would be nice....it might even be worthwhile to take XXBB if you just want to counter scouts:

2 daggers w/ FCS = 26 x 2

2 Red pilots w/ R2 & integrated astro = 24 x 2

More hull overall and similar firepower...
