Wait... seriously? The G1-A needs a fix? It hasn't even been out a week yet...
Could a new system upgrade fix bwing, g1a, generic ewng, even generic phantom???!
Still too blatant, in my opinion. What do I mean by blatant? I mean, I want a fix that pretends to not be a fix. Giving A-wings -2 points? That was a blatant fix. Giving X-wings the chance to lose an astromech but stay alive? That was thematic and showed ingenuity. Sure, we all know it's a fix, but it doesn't scream "we made a mistake!"Generic pilots only
I suppose you could find a thematic upgrade that would only make sense on generic pilots. Like the equivalent of starfighter training wheels or something that you wouldn't expect an ace to take. "Training Protocol?"
Squadron title xxxx
0 cost
For each of the same ship you have within range 1 reroll one attack or evade die per combat phase.
You can even make specific ship squadron cards (such as rogue squadron) or specific faction squadron cards. (Such as rebel alliance)
Ffg could make a specific upgrade slot for squadrons titles That stack with Individual ship titles.
Edited by GungoEmergency Evasion Protocols: Small Ship only. While defending, if you have not yet attacked this round, you may receive one stress to roll an additional evade dice.
I think this could be important. WHILE DEFENDING, IF YOU HAVE NOT YET ATTACKED....that screams low PS to me.
Autopilot system
At the beginning of the combat phase if no enemy ship is inside your arc you may perform a free boost action.
Not thrilled with these suggestions. More good options will help, but these are not the way, it would just limit options already in game.
But if I must...
Improved tracking sensor: 1 point
Your agility is 2
Rest easy gentlemen, we now have the fix for Phantoms, E-Wings and Starvipers.
Half the list with one useable suggestion is good. Still a bad idea to use the sensor slot, the main advantage for using most of these ships as its fix.
For the other two ships with a natural sensor upgrade slot...
Enhanced database: sensor: 2 points
When attacking or defending if you are not stressed you may gain a stress. If you do ignore one pilot ability or upgrade card during this attack.
Empire has a shuttle that takes stress so the phantom can abuse ACD still, equiped ships ignore missiles and torpedos for just 1 stress, you can ignore all the omega leaders, carnor jax, HLC, boba fett, zuckass, 4lom, gunner, autothrusters, whatever else. For one attack a round without stress combos.
Coordinated Firing System (2 points?)
Small ship only
Once per round, when another friendly ship at range 1-2 with Coordinated Firing System performs an attack, if you have a Target Lock on the defender, you may perform a free boost or barrel roll action.
Get higher PS in arc potentially. Allows you to spread arcs a bit - just get one on target and it helps the other. Doesn't help Vader or Corran because they want other upgrades and have high PS.
Doesn't help generic e-wings much, and maybe only generic phantoms a little by maybe giving them an arc dodge.

That was the intent and feel it would work well towards helping them live long enough to shoot back.
Tracking Device, System upgrade
Treat your pilot skill as 12 until the end of movement phase
I don't think you can address the issues each of these ships face with one system upgrade, since they suffer from different issues. You could fix a couple similar ship this way though.
Since the B-Wing and Mist Hunter are so similar and have basically the same problems you could limit a card to focus on them like this:
System Upgrade:
"Small Ship Only"
-- Card effects --
"You cannot equip this card if your agility value is 2 or greater."
Now you have a card that can only be equipped to a B-wing, G-1A, or TIE Punisher.
A system that buffs your offense based on how often you've defended this round would be an interesting low PS buff, but the trick is how to keep it from scaling better with specific elite talents.
