Spring season has passed on (in my area)....so.I'll need to shwag myslef

By Velvetelvis, in X-Wing

The St season has ended everwher in my area. And I almost but not quite. Got any of the shwags from it other than cards.

I'm not going to try to buy a challenge coin but...I do want to treat myself for a valiant effort.

I am kind of interested in the custom or generic acrylic pieces that lots of people make. Does anyone know if the store at FFG game center sells any of these types of things on site?

I happen to by random chance be not too far from there so I'm thinking of taking a little pilgramage on my way through.

Most of the custom acrylics are bought from online retailers. FFG has yet to start selling them.

Right on. Thanks.

I was hoping that since the game store sells other then just their own games that I might get lucky, walk in and see a rack of team covenant acrylic templates or even some litko stuff or something.

Just being able to go to (... hmm... what in Star Wars rhymes with 'ecca?) ... there would be a huge deal for me. One of these days I shall make the pilgrimage north... which is saying something considering I've never really been across the Mason-Dixon line though I have been coast to coast. Our summers were focused on travel, but mostly we went to the Mountains and had relatives in California and Alabama / Georgia so never really went North. I would equate the FFG trip to the third day of my summer at Epcot... after we had seen a little bit of everything there was (which was only the Magic Kingdom and Epcot back then) and we had a day left to choose... my brother and I decided to see how many times we could ride Space Mountain in one day. We hit it 21 times, mostly the Beta track (we felt it was superior to the alpha track even though we chose whichever was a shorter line). It was a really good day. Actually, it would be like that day mixed with being in the Redwood forests... yeah... at least that is what I imagine in my mind...

If I remember correctly, they may have some litko stuff, but I don't really know for sure, and it was November when I was there last.

I don't think there's been a single spring kit tournament in my area yet, unless I somehow managed to miss them...

FFG is just a big room full of nerds playing games on wobbly IKEA tables eating overpriced calorie rich foods.

Applied Perspectives is my go-to on Acrylic! Holy cow! Such clear interpretation of the symbols, some are even better than the original without being so different you think it is different. I also love my deluxe premium critical hit tokens which make it easy to remember by looking at the model and it's tokens what bad thing happened to your ship. Great out of the box thinking with impeccable execution! I want to get my range rulers and maneuver templates, but my wife likes them as much as I do, so either I have to buy both sets together or I have to buy hers for her birthday (which is after mine... dangit!) and get mine later... #firstworldproblems
