Anyone play this?

Zombies !!! the boardgame. A little and fun game that was killed with too many expansions. The Mall, Military Base, 3.5 Not dead yet, and expansion number 4 (.zombie dogs ) are GREAT. But stop there. Played basic set + Military Base...15 months ago. X wing is so adictive...

We have it, because my wife has been a zombie fanatic for as long as I've known her (and we've been married for 20 years). We did play it a few times, but after we picked up several boxes of Zombicide she has never gone back. I'll probably never be through painting zombies, but she loves that game so much more.

No, no... that's Zombicide. Zombies!!! is a different game and is all about screwing people over in trying to win while not getting caught by the Zombies. My wife gets mad at me in Zombies!!! because she likes the Coop nature of Zombicide.

Zombicide is fun as hell. Never played Zombies!!! though.

Different games, size and money... Zombies !!! is much smaller, 25 euros basic box and about 15 the standard expansions. Basic to "wave 4" is under 100 euros. Zombicide is one example of a good game with a high cost.involved...over 20 euros one character...many 100 euro boxes... I have played the game and is good, some scenarios unbalanced, but OK.

But the money involved is... Simply too much for my taste. A quite simple and ultrafun game, no way I am going.to invest 500 euros or more.

If you spend it all at once... sure, I'm right there with you... though that makes my X-Wing substance abuse problem suspect. But if it is once a year or two and you get to play coop games with a group and spend some quality painting time on imperfect miniatures, then it is a justifiable gift expense that makes another person happy... which is what it all comes down to... making other people happy more than yourself, which will in turn make you happy.

Painting the minis can be hell. If you paint them, money well invested. But very expensive to simply "play" it. The big boxes are expensive but...big. The extra characters are simply a robbery

I've played Zombies!!! My group managed to accidentaly form a swastika patern during our first playtrough. whoops!

Zombicide is a bit to pricey for me.

Oh yeah, we never bought any of the extra characters, though my wife really considered the Angelina Jolie one...
