Adventure Recommendation

By grumpygamer, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

We just finished our first intro adventure (GM created) and I'm thinking of using one of the published ones next. I have quite a few on hand. Anyone have a suggestion? The group is the typical smuggler group with a wanna-be jedi kid in the midst.

I'm quite partial to Beyond the Rim. It's scaled nicely for newish characters.

I thought the freebie followup game to the EotE beginner set was pretty strong. There was only one section that needed some tweaking to cover some gameflow problems, but otherwise I thought it was a solid game. Plus it's free, so there is that.

I'm kinda partial to the adventures in the GM kits as well. Although I generally take any sort of published adventure and tear it up into pieces that will fit my story, I've found these to be a boon.

Is that a download? FFG?

Go to the beginner game product page, under the Player Resources tab at the bottom of the page. It's entitled "Long Arm of the Hutt."

Our group had a lot of fun with Under a Black Sun.

Otherwise, I recommend Beyond the Rim.

The Macguffin in the Jewel of Yavin could entice your Force user, but it has little to do with smuggling.

I haven't read Mask of the Pirate queen, yet. So I cannot comment one way or another.

I just picked up Mask this weekend. I've skimmed and am now fully reading it. Several elements are right up some of my group's alley, especially one of the possible outcomes of the whole thing. It will definitely be worked into the campaign, and I cross my fingers that they see that possible outcome and take it.
