Rebel U-Boat hunters

By Sanguinary Dan, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Lots of Imperial counter Wolfpack lists out there, so here's my take on the Rebel response.

Nera Dantel w/DEADEYE, FCS, EM, PROTON TORP, GUIDANCE CHIPS

2x Dagger Squadron w/FCS, EM, PROTON TORP, GUIDANCE CHIPS

Certainly out shoots the Contracted Scouts and has only the loss of Deadeye on the Daggers.

What do you folks think? Any better options?

Swap Nera for Esege Tuketu: EM; Plasma Torps; LRS (once released); RecSpec.

Gives you alpha strike with TL's and 2 focus between all three torps.

@Glucose98: Too much trickery for me to handle! :) I doubt I could make that list work. The moment the first strike hit an X-Wing I'd be at a loss for how to get the most out of the survivors. Though you do make the enemy really think hard about how to kill Biggs fast so they can target the others before the stressbot stops their actions.

@Cr0aker: But won't a K-Wing that supports the others just draw the first full torpedo salvo? I get how Esege handing out focus tokens is nice. But having an even bigger shoot me sign than Nera wears doesn't seem all that helpful.

This is pretty much exactly what I came up with too lol. But I put Plasma torps on Nera to ensure she strips as many shields as possible for the proton crits to have a chance at getting through.

Wes Janson is a great choice as his ability can strip the focus off a Scout before it gets the chance to shoot.

Biggs is handy as always, especially when teamed with Kanan Jarrus in a VCX-100 reducing the incoming fire with focus tokens.

Blockers are great, fast ships that can close in to R1 fast and high volume of fire is the way to go too I think, so I'm giving a lot of thought to PS4 adaptability + crackshot Green Squadron A wings (18pts each).

Rebels have the tools.

I am just curious, why would you want to use a green squadron A wing rather than a prototype for Cheap blocking?

To open up the possibility of two EPT slots really.

Adaptability on a PS3 means I can have one reduced to PS2 to be the dedicated blocker and the others increase to PS4 to move after the scout and shoot first.

Plus crackshot is awesome.

I'm thinking within the realms of a list containing at least 3 green sq pilots by the way.

Here's a list I hope to try out soon. In theory it seems to be a great counter to triple scouts;

Kanan Jarrus [VCX-100] (42)

Recon Spec., Chopper, Tactical Jammer

Wes Janson (32)

VI, BB-8, Integrated Astromech

Biggs Darklighter (26)

R4-D6, Integrated Astromech

I think if this list can bring down a Scout before (or on the same turn as) Biggs goes down, it should be able to mop up.
