My support to Terror victims in Airport / Metro

By Hexdot, in X-Wing Off-Topic

I can only pray for those killed or injured in Belgian soil. And my support to free world armed forces servicemen risking their lives to protect us.

Terror will win only if we surrender our will.

Don't worry lads, I'll get 'em for ya.

Thanks people!

Good to see you're still around Cununculus!

Good to see you're still around Cununculus!

Had to go to Brussels yesterday, but I cancelled the meeting. :-/

Friends of my in-laws work at airport security, but had the day off.

One colleague of theirs is still missing, one lost both legs, and one lost an eye.

My sister survived the London bombings in 2005 because she overslept, otherwise she would have been in the middle of it.

But these things come close man, real close.

Two days after this bloody killing all around me people, of course, support the victims and speak about love, peace, stop war, etc.

I respect thid opinion, by far the most popular in my country, my family, my workmates... I will no tolerate any sign of racism or intolerance against muslim people in my area, but I will open a CariƱena bottle of wine the day one strike aircraft will put a JDAM in the face of the guy who planned and inspired this masacre.

Some people around me will say "this is murder. That man deserved a Court of Justice, not a JDAM".

I will say "Nuts". My way to support our servicemen.

The last time we (Belgium and the rest of the world) faced an empire of such total evil (The nazis), the allies bombed them to hell and back, civillian casualties be damned... I'm not saying that was a good thing, but I'd like to see the "state" removed from "islamic state". Actually the islamic part is a lie, these people aren't muslim! They are evil men and there will come a reckoning.

Okay, anger/grief filled rant over.

****, that's rough man! I'm stuck away in Limburg and I don't know any people in Brussles (besides my ex) so it didn't come that close to me, but still...

My thoughts are with the families of the 3425 (232 of those european) victims of fatal car accident on that day.

The comparation between the victims of accidents and the victims of terror bombing is not polite. And x number of human beings died that day killed by their relatives, while eating chicken or when a lightning hit them.

But in these case there were not involved fanatics who killed the biggest number posible of bystanders, claiming that my country is Al Andalus and that I must convert to their view of Islam and live under the Sharia, or simply die.

So you can donate money or invest time to reduce the number of car crashes.

I support our armed forces and donate money and invest time to demand that the EU must give priority to this treath.

Roughly 10% of all fatal car accidents involve alcohol in belgium. Close to %40 even in the united states. More surveillance and better security and controls could drastical reduce those numbers for a small penny. 32,675 americans died in 2014 in car accidents. Over 12,000 times was alcohol involved.

Compared to that terrorist are simply a insignificant threat. Nothing wrong with dealing with small problems in time. Speaking of small problems, if I got my numbers right and use average values, over 80 innocent civilians died in drone attacks that same day. Guess to whom the relatives of those victims send their support and money.

But I do not want to start a long discussion on threat prioritisation and derail this condolence topic. Each victim is a tragedy, no matter the cause of death.

I agree with you in many aspects, and many, many people in my family and around me think very different than I do. This is not a place to start debating. Simply say NO !!! and act in concience. But act, not simply sat in front of TV saying "the world is mad". Some people work integrating children from North Africa in my area via soccer and basket, others writing to our politicians to claim more resources invested on the military, etc.

The key element is that this is a menace to all of us, there are people are there so motivated that to force me and my relatives to live under the Sharia they have zero drama killing as many people as needed to force my will

And I think that saying "Nuts" and supporting the military I am doing something.

Love the history of that retort in your nation, Hexdot. From a Yank, we still support you! (My Grandfather was there with the 501st in the winter of '44.)

Well said Hexdot.

I can't remember the exact quote I'm thinking of but it goes something like: "The only thing required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing".

I am from Spain. In the Visigoth period muslim "blitz" conquered 85% of my ( the non-existent ) country. 700 years laterthe last remants of muslim forces were defeated, in 1492. People say I am quite paranoid, but when I read the claims to recover "Al Andalus" I see a treath. Many people thinks that those are crazy claims. Sure. A small talled Austrian leader did some crazy claims back in 1933.

If you are, per example, a US Citizen the Daesh claim that you must leave them act with impunity. They clame my soil, that Sharia must rule our lives, our women threated like animals and so on. In the case we abjure from our faith and embrace their twisted version of Islam. If not, slavery or death. That simply.

I want to act when the Shadow of Mordor is gathering forces...not wait till Minas Tirith will be under siege.

Some days ago a high ranking leader was killed via Air Strike. That was a brighter day for me.
