Question 1: If Jyn becomes focused, does she have to use her focus if she is performing a quick draw or she can choose to use her regular attack and use focus when she activates and makes an attack?
Jyn Odan - Quick Draw Clarification - Focused - Imperial Officer
1) Yes. Focus *MUST* be used on the next attack/attribute test. You cannot "bank" Focused.
2) Jyn can only use Quick Draw at the START of the figure's activation. As soon as an action has been declared, the windows for Jyn's Quick Draw has passed. If Jyn does not have LOS during that window, she may not attack that figure.
Edited by FizzAlso, when a figure gets to perform a move or attack from Order, Executive Order or some other ability, they are not activating. It is still the activation of the figure performing their activation, if any. (Mission rules can trigger abilities such as performing a move or attack outside of anyone's activation. In such a case, any once per activation abilities can't be used, for example Diala's Precise Strike.)
Technically Jyn can trigger Quick Draw even if she does not have line of sight to the activating figure, but she would not want to spend 2 strain and then not be able to attack. If she has Trick Shot, she can have line of sight very often.

Unless the mission rules state "Instead of activating normally", then it does count as an "mini-activation" as it has been termed in the FAQ, such as in the mission "Breaking Point"
Did you mean if it says instead of activating normally, it certainly counts as a mini activation? (Breaking point uses "instead of activating normally", so your sentence does not quite make sense.)
Performing an attack do not count as mini activations, at least in Temptation.
I have heard of the mini activation only applying to the certain figures in the finale missions and other missions where the figure can perform actions during end of round instead of performing moves or attacks without them being actions. Now that I think about it, being an action could be considered making it a mini activation.
Edited by a1bertYeah, isn't that what I wrote? I was stating that some mission rules have the text "instead of activating normally", if so, then THAT counts as a mini-activation. Basically, if the rules states "perform an action", when there are currently no activated figures being interrupted (as as in the case with Breaking Point, between figure's activations), then that counts as a mini-activation. Note the difference in the fact that an "action" is being granted, as opposed to a "move" or an "attack". It's a subtlety in that while a move or an attack are actions, only being granted the full-blown "action" constitutes mini-activation.
Perform a move or attack as granted by Order(Executive) does not count as an mini-activation.
The Unless at the beginning negates what you're trying to say.

The comma followed by 'then' does make it grammatically correct, in dialog form, as continuing the statement included in the quote.
