If all faction restrictions were removed, what broken upgrade combinations suddenly appear?

X-posted from the X-Wing forums, thought it would make for some interesting discussion.

Rhymer and Y-Wings, just from the top of my head.

Ackbar and Glads could be fun....

Dodonna and Gladiators.

Yavaris and Rhymer.

Dodonna's Pride with Screed.

Rieekan and Raiders.

Rhymer and Y-Wings, just from the top of my head.

B-wings would gain a far bigger bump in potency from Rhymer. Especially with Yavaris in the mix.

Needa mc80 mon mothma

Torpedo Frigates stand to gain a lot from either Screed or Vader.

Nebulons, MC80's, and AF2's would gain a lot from Vader. Probably more than any Imp fleet does.

Chiraneau/Corrupter would be amazing for basically every rebel squadron, but especially B-wings.

Also, Soontir Fel would fit very nicely into a Jan/X-wing setup.

Home One plus Demolisher could also be fun.

You guys are making me want to try out some faction-unrestricted friendly games to see what shakes out...

Home One + Warlord seems amusing.

Gladiator 2s plus Home One also would be fun.

Salvation with Vader or Screed would be effective

I would think Rhymer and B-Wings.

Why stop at Jan, when you could have Jan and Dengar in the mix?

Luke and Vader flying escort, Jan, Dengar, Rhymer, maybe a couple B-Wings or whatever...it'd put some hurt on somebody, for sure.

Back on topic - Rieken with Ordnance Expert Expanded Launcher Raiders

Mon Mothma with a fleet of tooled-up Raiders would probably do it.

Corruptor and B-Wings would be nasty - think that was mentioned above already, though.

Motti with Assault Frigates and MC80s would be pretty savage. Rebel Shields with Imperial Hull values - I'd buy that for a dollar.

Madaghmire already mentioned Demolisher and Home One, but a wolf-pack of three Gladiator-IIs with Rapid Reload and benefiting from Home One would be horrific.

Redemption in a Motti-led defensive fleet would also be pretty savage, or even just in combination with an Imperial-class with Wulff Yularen - 3 Engineering Points per turn, like clockwork.

Finally, I would potentially consider killing someone for the chance to put Tantive IV and Princess Leia on the Raider in my current Tournament build.

Rhymer+Yavaris+B-Wings. The bomber wing from hell.

I'd be happy to see Rhymer + Nym + a few H6s being tossed across the board by a Corrupter on turn 1, with a Montferrat-led Yavaris hot on the trail.

A Rieekan Gladiator fleet, though, would be scary. I also love the idea of Lando as the getaway driver on a Demolisher.

This makes me jealous of imperials and Rhymer bomber love.

Dodonna's Pride and Salvation with Screed, 3 MC80 under Motti, 4 MC30s or AFMK IIs under Ozzel. 4 GSDs or Raiders under Mothma. Raimus Antilles on Corrupter with expanded hanger bays. Fett, IG88 and Mauler activated twice by Yavaris..."WHERE DID ALL MY SQUADRONS GO!"

Howlrunner and dutch 4 blue to ion a ship

Add yarvis and tarkin

X-wings and Y-wings don't have Swarm, so Howlrunner wouldn't really help them.

Pretty much anything you could want from Yavaris and Tarkin can be done with combinations of Garm, Vet Cap, and Raymus for cheaper.
