I am not either of the final table members. Just a friend of the one who ran the second list. When I have time, I will write a report on my time there. This is just an overall summary of the 2 hours and 15 minute final match.

The game was intense from multiple levels. IG88-C died to a mob of A-wings with some fancy pumping techniques and use of crack shots early on. When this happened, though, both IG88s dropped their bombs and did 1 damage to each A-wing. The rest of the game was an intense jousting match. Both players were excellent at keeping at range 3 when retreating and getting to close range when attacking. IG88B had some clutch evade rolls. But so did the A-wings. This was not a game of red dice. It was a game of purely out maneuvering and green dice. Both were fantastic and the audience had more than one hold your breath scenario. One of the best matches I have seen in a while. The game ended with the last A-wing had bumped into a 1 hull point IG88 when doing a 5K turn by only a hair's length. If he had finished the k-turn, IG88 could have lost. However, IG had superior positioning as a result. He dealt a damaged sensor array that turn and killed it the turn after.
On a side note, he made the A-wing list two days prior. He only had two practice games before his first store championship tournament.
