So, I have literally run out of X-Wing stuff to paint and am at the point I would have to buy more ships just to paint them and knowing I will never play them it seems a little futile. so, I was wondering what other miniature games stuff you paint or if you paint other things like model kits and African fertility idols, etc.
What else do you paint?
At the moment I paint Imperial Assault Miniatures, also from FFG.
They are fun and pretty detailed for Boardgame Miniatures.
However I mostly painted Games Workshop miniatures over the last 10 years, they are the biggest Miniature company out there, but their recent bussiness moves makes it kinda hard for newcommers to justify the prices, furthermore the miniatures tend to look more and more comic-ish with every release.
Even so I still believe that for the sake of painting they got some very beautifull minatures.
A little search in google with 'minature companies' should do the trick
I am aware of other games and companies but was looking for the exact kind of feedback you gave, thank you!
Anyone else?

I'm also painting up a bunch of my Warhammer stuff, here's the Verminlord in question http://imgur.com/a/1wwrI
Buying into the hobby (or at least into Age of Sigmar) has actually been pretty easy as of late. The £50/65$(?) starter boxes are such a massive saving. The lizardmen/Seraphon box is essentially a Carnosaur and 17 other lizards for free, and the scale being similar to a lot of other kits they've introduced as well. 40k still has that problem, but at least the Betrayal at Calth box made buying into Space Marines a bit easier (what with 30 tactical marines, 5 terminators, a dreadnought and two characters)
I've also bought a B-Wing so I can replace it was Quarrie's B-Wing from Rebels, very hyped to stick Hera in that thing and make her soar.
I have been painting my copy of Runewars + Banners of War expansion for about 2 years now. I always get distracted by X-Wing paintjobs I want to do! Its a 4X strategy game by FFG. A lot of people didn't like it for some reason (one reason was that it doesn't use dice, I don't get that at all), but I think it is an excellent game if you want to fill an evening. Model quality isn't great, but good enough.
Edited by Admiral DeathrainI paint some other tabletop game stuff from time to time but I spend most of my hobby time building and painting scale models, mainly of the Star Wars variety .
I like doing xwing and armada repaints, but Infinity comes unpainted so it has priority on the painting table. Corvus Belli's minis do look FANTASTIC though, if you're looking for something to paint. The game is awesome as well. The rules are available free on their website, if you're interested.

Edited by GadgeI actually don't paint, and won't paint my X-Wing miniatures. I don't paint miniatures in general. Its that word miniature that causes the problem. My bad eyes, and my sausage fingers make working with small stuff difficult. I don't build anything smaller then 1/144, and I usually don't paint anything smaller then 1/100.
So I mostly paint 1/100 scale Gundam kits, and currently on my table are my DeAgostini 1/43 Falcon, my 1/32 M.L.E.V-5 kit from Randy Cooper, and my 1/60 RX-78-2 from Bandai.
I'm painting a gw space wolf stormfang plus few battletech clan mechs in alpha galaxy colours with a black widow dire wolf.
The step kids look at me as if I'm nuts.
I paint Imperial Assault stuff . Did a handful of X-Wing ships as my first ever attempt at painting, but as the IA stuff comes unpainted, they have priority.
I have a pile of unpainted 28mm Bolt Action Germans and Americans to paint, plus a box of Vikings and Anglo-Saxons for Saga. Both are new eras for me I have painted tons of WW2 15mm minis for Flames of War, none recently. Used to paint Warhammer Fantasy and 40k, though I have finally moved on from that. Recovered you might say.
I build and paint furniture. Does that count?
