This year probably Eastern Europe
Where? I've been to Latvia, Czech Rep., and Hungary. Wish I could hit more. Croatia looks cool, too. I'd love to go sailing there.
So, where are you going on holiday this year?
Planning on Bulgaria and the Black Sea

It's been a while, but I recall several people telling me that Bucharest was the dirtiest city in Europe.
I did stay at a place in Riga that I later found out was listed as "the worst hotel in Europe". It was pretty bad. No showers and the whole floor had to share one bathroom. It was a cement floor with a single light swinging by a wire. Oh, and the toilet seat was in the puddle on the floor and you had to bring your own toilet paper.
Sofia is a nice city. Bulgaria is super cheap to travel in. Lots of Roman ruins to explore throughout the country.

I'm quite fond of airbnb these days. There are a lot of professional listings these days and not just for someone's spare room.
We are going to DisneyWorld with my brothers family, so a total of 4 kids under 5. Definitely going to hit up all the Star Wars stuff at Hollywood studios and will prbly play some Xwing back at the resort.

I love Disney. I took the family last year. I did a lot of prep work. You can check out how crowded certain parks are expected to be for that day in the year. It's all color coded. Magic Kingdom is usually busy on Mondays and Fridays. All sorts of tricks to avoid the crowds. There are message boards and everything. It's well worth planning in advance to avoid the lines. Disney is terrible if you just get stuck in lines.
There are also a ton of little tricks. The line splits in Pirates of the Caribbean and the one on the left is shorter. Peter Pan has an insane line and that's one to Fastpass if you have to go on it with the kids.
Plan your fastpasses in advance.
Research the restaurants and try to get reservations at the good ones. Plan in advance. Plan which park on which days and which restaurants to go to. It will be better that way. The meal plans are good money if you use them for the table meals that are normally expensive regular menu. The counter meals tend to have a lot of french fries. We went on the cheap one year and thought we would just get counter service everywhere. I was so sick of french fries at the end of the week that I didn't want to do that again.
With kids that young, you have to think about visiting characters or rides. They might like characters more. If so, get the character to sign one page and leave the other blank. That way you can print off a photo and glue it in their book. Photo next to signature.
Finding out about Hidden Mickeys can be fun and entertaining thing to do that doesn't have a line or need a fastpass. You can get books on them and read them while you are in line.
Yeah we love Disney. We went two years ago when my son was almost 2 and had a blast. So much so that we moved to Florida less than a year later! (Not the actual reason for the move, the reason we moved is even crazier. We lived in the Cornhusker state and my wife is allergic to corn) we have annual passes and if we haven't been in a couple of weeks my 3.5 year old bothers me constantly. My sister-in-law did most of the planning this time, she has a giant spreadsheet with all the dining reservations and fast passes. Yeah definitely everything you said about planning is so true. A coworker went up to Animal Kingdom without any planning. He came back and is like "how do manage to go with kids, all we did was stand in line!"
