G1A Repaint

By Dalcor, in X-Wing

OK, I bought G1A yesterday, going to repaint him... Actualy almost all of my models are in some stadium of repaint.

At this moment I have to choose colors. G1A looks very much like F-8 Crusader or A-7 Corsair, so I am going to US Navy colors, in some fance Star Wars recolloring later on. I am using Mig Production US Navy Color set, and then MIG and Scale75 Colors.

I definetely wants some more G1A as I would like to use Mil Mi-24 Czehc Army Tiger Scheme on it later on.

Anywhere, on the first photo you can see repositioning of the G1A and basecoat with Mig 219 Grey Blue (FS35237). Unfortunaltey you can see also a hole between uppoer and below part of the fuselage. Not sure if it happened in boiling watter I used to remove the pin, or from manufacturer.

Home I will be ready to fill the hole later on, and use my afternoon airbrush spot (between cooking launch and dinner to do a basecoat version 2

Basecoating

I Wonderd how long it would be before someone did a re-paint of the new wave.

looking forward to seeing it wearing a new colour scheme.

you say your going to use Navy F8 and A7 Colours.

the US Airfoce camouflage F4 phantoms look fantastic during the Vietnam conflict as well.

would give it a Mil Hind look in camouflage.

going to be interesting to see how this model looks

all the best,

Barry.

Make it Grey-n-Orange! With rust leaks in crevices!
