I'm fleshing out ideas for my brand new Ghost and could use some suggestions.

My basic idea is to just keep the shuttle docked for the double Acc Corrector / Autoblaster

and rear main gun shots. Using Nein Numb with Hera's ability should make me plenty maneuverable and let me remove any stress I obtain.

Any suggestions or obvious mistakes with this approach?

I too have made a squad using these 3 ships. Have yet to be able to test it out yet though. However, I'd like to compare our lists together. First, let's talk about Hera. Her ability just screams ARC DODGER THAT THE REBELS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! She's highly maneuverable and a higher ps. However, she can't have VI on the ghost. She can on the phantom. So in my list, she pilots the shuttle. With VI making her 9, and a navigator as a crewman, she becomes so much more maneuverable. Setting a dial really isn't even worth it at this point, she goes wherever she wants to! I added EU for extra shenanigans. However, she only has the stats of a z95 and without a TL her offence is a bit shabby. I decided to fly her as a long range fighter, using tlt as her attack. Will only use primary when the enemy ship is looking elsewhere. Ok, on to the ghost. Like me, you have opted for accuracy corrector, autoblaster, and zeb. So obviously, the ghost wants to be in close quarters with these upgrades. Why not compound the effectiveness? Chopper as the pilot, is low pilot skill and therefore acts as a great blocker. Anyone bumped into him is auto stressed. Add ion projector for your mod, now they are potentially stressed AND ioned! Your Awing? You already have Hera as the arc dodger in this squad, so I've got a prototype pilot with refit, as a second blocker. In theory, the plan is to jam the ghost down the throat of the highest threat my opponent has. Deal out stress with chopper, potential ions, and do 4 unblockable dmg with the autoblaster/accuracy corrector thanks to zeb. After ioning the ships, the Awing should be able to get into a decent position to fire at range 1 safely. Move forward with chopper, and release Hera into the ioned/stressed enemy to finish the job. Awing continues blocking until ghost gets turned back around and makes another charge. In mean time, shuttle stays at the edge of combat, making use of its tlt to soften the enemy.

I am however also trying to find a way to make this thing deadly awsome using bombs and torps.

Hera Ghost + EU + Navigator + AC/ABTurret combo completely shredded my 2 Torp UBoats + Palob TLT Zuckuss list.

You almost cannot avoid the range 1 of the ABTurret ]:

I've written up two lists for the Ghost, and so far the only variations have been between Hera/Navigator and Chopper/Ion Projector. Otherwise the list is as follows;

All in all your list looks pretty solid and does what it's meant to do =) I took the TLT Y-Wing to protect the Ghost's flanks once its dropped off the Phantom, since I intend to use the now very maneuverable ship as a flanker once the main threat has been dealt with by the Ghost. I don't think there's really a wrong way of building around the list so long as you've got the essentials down. I've seen a mix of expensive Phantom plus a blocker, or a cheap Phantom to fit more ships/upgrades in like Biggs to soak up the fire that the Ghost is inevitably going to receive. I think it's all about personal flavour, because more often than not half of your points are going to be on the Ghost anyway!

I'm going to try this next time out, but I think the lack of upgrades will kill that shuttle late game. Having the shuttle deploy late game is a nice little insurance policy for sure!
